Well, go Cheng Yi!!! For preserving the very soul of Fuguiās character š
When the right eyes finally see, and the right hearts finally judge, those who poured their spirit into this work will shine.
Heāll stand tall ā When he wins Best Actor, Best Character -Fugui, Best International ect. a silent triumph, a quiet slap to those who doubted, watching his brilliance speak louder than any words. āØ
I saw a post on X that there's a special episode. Is it true?https://x.com/fasttracksh1/status/1987360993027277275
Disneyās gonna regret it š . I doubt theyāll change anything now ā since theyāve already made their money, they couldnt care less. Theyāll just grab the š° and run, unfortunately.
Quote (FB): Disney+ has purchased the rights for $500,000 per episode, setting a new record for the highest price for a Chinese comic book adaptation series sold internationally. Itās said that the Disney+ rights buyer decided to āno-bidā immediately after watching just the opening scene.
If you have it, the link to the cut scene, please. š
Wait, so a whole Fugui arc was cut, huh? I saw a few clips that belonged to episodes 13 and 14 that were Fugui Ć QingTong, and I was wondering why they were cut⦠now I see even moreāWTF. I didnt think were the only ones either,
Maybe their love life sucks in real life, so they take it out on the viewers and break up the relationships.
Yea i feel sorry for the cast so here I am trying to support them til the end .....CY is still so true to his character I am so sad bc of it. No matter how it ends its gonna be sad for Fugui. Fugui " I will never change" š

Misery loves company, I guess⦠in our case, we were tricked into it since we started this and are just trying to make it to the end. I wonder how many have dropped out already.
AGREEE!!! As positive as I may be, I lost my interestš Qingtong is so mature now, she has duties of her own.…
Yeah, maybe thatās why they grabbed the license for all three installments and filmed it like that with no wiggle room for change. If they had filmed the first, release , and waited for feedback .... nobody wouldāve invested in the 2nd and 3rd.
They roped all A list actors actresses ect in before anyone was like, āOh shoot, this director and scriptwriter suck. Unfortunately everything comes down to money. Very few will make it with just passion.
You can ask Ai to check if script is cohesive š¤£.
I don't mind no romance in this drama. I know people don't like this because of not having enough scene for the…
*Episodes 1ā13 are a must-watch!*
Episode 12? Emotionally Action-Pact Epic⦠this episode moved many. Not to mention, if you watch BTS, the crew worked insanely hard on this scene, especially Cheng Yi.
Ppl are negative now bc the story lost not only its Direction but its Spark and the Male Lead. They also added an unnecessary QC arc for more than 3rd of the series
Rumu and Yunfei arcs are great
Honestly, youāre not missing anything if you donāt continue after 13, in my opinion. Maybe skip to the last episode just to see if curious
Well, maybe the power of love the screenwriters want to show us is between sister and brother, not a couple. š¤…
Writer showed me the terrifying power of a psycho nutcase that Iām still trying to erase from my memory. The arc had nothing to do with loveāit was all about power of controlā¦
Imagine a subplot about a dependent, innocent little brother, secretly infiltrating the Black Fox organization for his sister. He helps her fight for their dream of a better city for demons. In the end, a truly heart-wrenching scene: sheās forced to use the power of love to purify the hatred around them, and he remains a good, pure characterābut still dies, because heās too weak. Thatās the kind of emotional punch we deservedānot the messy, hollow ending we got.

I was just thinking they shouldāve gotten AI to check their script first before filming it š¤£. AI couldāve told them their script stinks.š¤£š
The story has finally found its way back onto the right track ā but at what cost? So many essential scenes that shouldāve happened simply vanished. Itās like entire chapters of meaning were ripped out. Episodes 17ā30 became a void, a long stretch of what could have been.
If I could pinpoint the exact moment the train disappeared ā Fugui receiving that butterfly message in Episode 18. That entire separation arc unnecessary!!!ā it had already taken place beautifully after the butterfly arc, which carried real emotional weight. That was the moment Fugui taught QingTong the final move ā a scene that captured trust and quiet devotion. Separation made sense then ā it wasnāt about losing each other, but about finding a better version of themselves, while knowing they would find each other again, no doubt.
The train suddenly reappeared on the other side of the world when ā Fugui and QingTing saved the small bird. That was the first time it felt like our story again. But at the same time, anything with QT now feels awkward, because weāre missing what should have been her romantic arc with Fugui. It didnāt need to be touchy or full of kissing ā just the emotional connection that defined them.
Itās Poetic ā Four major arcs, all connected to Fugui, each one unlocking a different kind of power born from his compassion, sacrifice, and love. Shoulda been foreshadowed in episode 1.
1. Wangquan Sword / Sword Meridian ā Power of Faith. Rumu. Fugui saving him with the Sword Meridian ā not out of dominance, but belief. It was faith in Rumuās heart, in his ability to bear strength with honor. A power born from trust and unwavering will between friends and family.
2. Purest Sun Flame ā Power of Hope. His motherās legacy, his blood itself. The flame symbolized endurance ā carrying light through suffering and loss. Fugui became the living vessel of hope, burning yet unbroken.
3. Seed of Grief ā Power of Love. This should have been the most romantic and emotionally charged arc of the entire Fox Spirit Matchmaker series. The Power of Love should have surpassed every other ā a love strong enough to purify the Tree of Hatred and heal centuries of sorrow. This was meant to be QingTongās awakening ā the moment where love itself became salvation. But that story was never told.
4. Water Control Orb ā Power of Purity. YunFei, the student. Fugui refined the orb within him, granting not only strength but clarity ā a heart unclouded by greed or anger. The calm within the storm, the stillness that allows compassion to guide true power.
And thatās why I believe Sword and Beloved went wrong. It wasnāt the cast. It wasnāt the concept. It was the heart ā the emotional bridge ā that got lost somewhere between Episodes 17 and 30. The essence of love, sacrifice, and growth was buried under rushed pacing and misplaced arcs.
The story had everything it needed to be legendary. But instead of letting love be the ultimate power ā as it has always been in Fox Spirit Matchmaker ā they cut out the very heartbeat of the tale.
