Lol, it was a blob the whole series 🤣. Like an annoying fly I couldn’t smack. All the villains were like that too.

Cheng Yi was pretty much acting for himself. I really hope he requires the entire script next time he signs onto a drama — and that there are no dramatic last-minute script changes. Li Yitong too hope she get more Quality roles . Most of the stuff i see her in doesnt really show her talent. You only get glimpse of it. Her fight scene are so pretty too bad,

Honestly, it really felt like they threw that in last-minute just to appease viewers. It wasn’t even Cheng Yi or Li Yitong in that scene. The fight scenes themselves were awesome, but the actual logic? If they had at least used Cheng Yi and Li Yitong’s voices, I might’ve been somewhat convinced. Did the actors even know they added that part, lol?

I still don’t get the whole “four powers” thing when, in the end, Fugui just ends up fighting Rumu and himself. Like… what was the point of setting up all that lore?

It would’ve been so much better — and way more satisfying — if we got all six of them honing their powers and doing some insane team-up, flipping through the air to kick the father and that dumb tree straight off the mountain, because I did love all three couples. They each had their own unique quirks that made them so adorable.

That would’ve actually felt like a climax, not whatever that was — so unsatisfying that I wanted to smack the writers.

I thought the exact same thing when I watched the ML kill the FL. There was zero development between them, and then suddenly—boom, he kills her. What was even the point of her getting stronger and holdings the “power of love” if it led absolutely nowhere?

And honestly, by the end I didn’t even feel much for his sacrifice or hers.
It didn’t feel tragic — it felt empty.

Like, oh… so we didn’t defy destiny after all.
Everything he fought for, questioned, bled for — all tossed aside so he could fulfill the same parental destiny he had been trying to break free from since the beginning.

His whole life ended up looping back to the very cage he wanted to escape.
Not heroic.
Just… predetermined — forced to die exactly the way the script decided from the very beginning.

His ending wasn’t destiny.

Felt that this drama screwed both Cheng Yi and Li Ytong over 😫 . One had screen time cut to nothing the other one had a horrible script they had to act out as professional as they could, ended with many people hating her character by the end. Neither at fault.

I saw the promotion videos she look pretty sick kept coughing.

Yea can think of episode 13 was kinda like extra bonus of their daily life.

Either way they r together to go travel the world was what i thought it hinted at the end. Doesnt matter what forum can cultivator to become human later

Technically, not a sad ending.

They flash QT as a spider, and him calling her at the end—
Hinting a journey together, him waiting for her human form to return…
Yet it plays out strangely.

In my mind, Fugui knew she’d turn back into a spider;
without pulling that seed, she might have truly perished.
If he hadn’t succeeded in destroying Black once and for all, she’d be next in line.
He sent everyone away and took the water orb to save the doggie fox.
But the edit and script scattered the story, leaving us with mixed signals.

Just my take—who knows what the director and scriptwriter meant to show?
We all agree sending director x scrptwriters to mental hospital anyway 🤣
