By the 3rd episode in, they should’ve realized—oh shit, emergency edit needed. Cut all the bro scenes except one where she wakes up with him, one with Fugui, and one with Yunfei.

If the ending turns out well, they’re gonna need a special edited version released. Lord, I’m tempted to go in and cut, cut, cut for them if it ends up a happy ending for our pair.

I did feel like even Yi Tong, every time she had to do those brother scenes, was cringing. But professionally went with honestly negative IQ QT at that point.

When she cut the alliance, destroyed the meridians, she was wickedly awesome. And how about when she fought her evil self or went on that journey alone?

If the next few episodes actually save this piece of scrap of a script (pretty much bro arc),
they really need to release another version — edit out as much of the brother parts as possible and add every deleted scene they can find with Fugui, Rumu, Yunfei, or any Fugui x QingTong moments. I don’t care if it was behind the scenes or didn’t make sense in the script — they could make it a drunk dream of someone, like those weird dancing Rumu–Fugui scenes. I’m pretty sure the editing team is creative enough — even adding back in the cartoon spider would be fine! Cut it down to two episodes max of those already what, 10–12 episodes.

I seriously really like her and Cheng Yi a lot. Episodes 1–13 were such amazing quality. Even now, Cheng Yi’s Fugui stays so true to his character, while episode 27 felt like—wait, did they dub Yi Tong with the wrong script or something? Their dialogue at that point should’ve been, “I need to take this idiot away so Fugui doesn’t burn his life away.” but the dialog show her distrust in Fugui was so painful to watch.

I have to say, the real winner here is the Costume Department — every outfit that Fugui wears 💘😍! Just when you think he can’t possibly get any more handsome, they switch to a new outfit and hairstyle… lord, that desert look had me swooning 😉💓

The heroes are some of the best I’ve seen character-wise in a long time, and Cheng Yi absolutely nailed it as Fugui.

Totally agree — the CGI x Martial Art department did a fabulous job as well. Each fight scene is just beautiful.

They must’ve run out of money when it came to the script department and the creation of evil characters though. 😅🫠

Well, they’re even slower because they apparently already got wedded with no knowledge of it by Rumu x Yunyei these two crack me up🤣 Even the stupid alliance was labelling them as lovers.

Well, on a positive note, Rumu and the Fox Student already acknowledged aand yelled out:

Rumu: “Sister-in-law.”
Yunyei: “Master’s wife.”

Fugui x Qingtong is an old married according to them and the village people — the two slowpokes just don’t know it yet. Everyone’s already married them off.

Why I am so confused about the split up then she decide to take her brother away saying it will kill him if the black fox extracted.... she know Fugui better than any1 and knows he wont do that ...so this last episode is confusing the heck out me.

.....And then episode 27 they basically separated again is whats killing me when she took her brother away ..bc they werent even together for 1 episode. I long for them to at least be in the same screen more often.
