Fl is clearly in the wrong here bro it's a historical drama a time where girls shouldn't get too involved with…
As someone who hates love triangles this one didn’t bother me a whole lot. We do have jealous / possessive SMLs, but the main romance outshines everything else imo.
I understand why it feels uncomfortable. I just don’t think depicting a fictional romance automatically equals…
Yeah. I’m still thinking about it because the story looks really good and in terms of types of dramas I enjoy this looks to check all of the boxes. I have both seen AiMi and HMH before and they’re talented. Maybe I am a bit jaded because in the US there have been a lot of allegations of sexual harassment from crew members to the actors / actresses in the drama (One Tree Hill) for example. I hope there is a lot of protection for AiMi, and I do really appreciate that the drama won’t do any kissing or intimacy scenes. I think it also just feels uncomfortable with AiMi being put in positions that perhaps she’s uncomfortable with. Does she have the freedom to set boundaries, or will she be implicitly or explicitly pressured to do something she doesn’t feel right about? Etc. Plus with the age gap of 11 years, there’s a natural power differential there with HMH and the adult crew members (NOT that I am worried about HMH being bad at all, but more how it may impact her comfortably in saying no or setting boundaries). So yeah. And then I also ask myself what the magical thing is about the age 18? I don’t have an answer for that either.
Oh my goodness..You've rated 'Love in the moonlight' as 9 ,, KYJ was 16, a minor and had her kiss scene with an…
🙄I’m not afraid to use certain terms to describe your behavior if the shoe fits. You called me a hypocrite even though I don’t think that I am one. You made unfounded generalizations about me as a person, and chose to attack me personally over honest thoughts that I expressed, after glancing at a few numbers I added to dramas I watched over the past year. So to me, yes, you’re acting like a bitch and I will call you out on it. Threaten me all you want with a hatred tag 🙄Or here’s a thought- what about blocking me? *gasp* 🫢
I’m on like episode 12 now and I don’t hate it yet, I’m just in a drama slump and can’t find another one…
Omg YES. IMO they’re one of the BEST OTPs of all time. It is a beast of a drama with the 76 episodes, and if you are primarily a romance watcher like me, they reaaaallllyyy make you wait for the romance to kick off. They painstakingly develop the ML and FL separately as individuals before bringing them together in marriage. So all of their weaknesses and insecurities that were developed over the course of the drama come together in a spectacular clash. MMM *chefs kiss* And on the flip side of that they are a freaking powerhouse of a couple, both of them are brilliant. And there’s a lot of skinship and emotional intimacy when they finally get together. But yes… it’s a looooooonnngggg road to get there. Long. Road.
This is one of the worst C-dramas I've watched in 20 years of watching them.Jing Tian cannot act, Feng Shao Feng…
I’m on like episode 12 now and I don’t hate it yet, I’m just in a drama slump and can’t find another one that grabs me. The constant “wang ye” is distracting, though. (Already finished ASM, loved it 10/10).
I’ll see those scenes as a brother/sister dynamic, so the 10y age difference won’t be a problem, and the playfulness,…
I appreciate your perspective. I remember Indiana Jones 😂The Temple of Doom scared me a lot more as a kid than Raiders, but I like how you coped with that. I could always just watch HMH’s scenes, although it’s not quite the same if you pull his scenes out of the context of the greater story 😞

Wow you’re acting like a little bitch. First off, I had no idea. LitM was a drama I watched last year, ten years after it aired. Had I been around drama land when it was airing, my opinion would have probably changed. Realizing it now, it makes me feel icky even though the age gap in that one was significantly less.
Secondly, HMH is handsome and talented, but I have yet to find a story he stars in that I like. Didn’t like the lies and secret keeping in LitC, the CGI pulled me out of BftB and I had similar issues with TUS (which I dropped, didn’t rate). I can enjoy an actor without liking the drama they’re in. I had high hopes for this one until I found out about Ai Mi’s age.
Stop acting like a bitch. My initial post was respectful and expressed honest feelings about this drama and you’ve taken what I said and decided to personally attack me for it. What gives? Do I need to comment on how it feels gross that you’re attacking a stranger over the internet in order to defend a minor teenage girl acting in a romance drama with a man 11 years older? All I said in my initial post is that it makes me uncomfortable and I am torn by it because HMH’s fight scenes look amazing. I also thought that if I were a mother I would be very uncomfortable with my teenage daughter acting in a romance with a man 11 years older than her. I think that’s valid? Why personally attack me? Geez.
sitting on his lap? why are you making up things that never happened? did anyone force you to watch it? if you…
Because the actors themselves are adults. If I was a mother, I would feel really uncomfortable with my teenage daughter acting in a romance drama with someone in their late 20s. It’s totally no hate towards HMH because I totally know it’s not his fault. But yeah that’s why. Even if there’s no kissing or intimacy scenes, it would give me the ick if my teenage daughter was acting romantic with an adult man with close physical proximity, hugs, princess carrying, etc.
The ML’s servant / bodyguard
Ye Xian’s servant
Chen Xuan Qing (and servant)
Hai Lian and wife
I think that’s everyone… lol

Compared to other hateful comments on here about the casting I’d say that my post is pretty damn respectful and fair.
