It looks like in one of the previews that STL kills Meng Xin as he stabbed him in the chest. All I can say is…
Yeah, I saw, bad rubbish usually gets thrown out and my gods was he a pathetic lil smug c... STL/CY probs got mad that Ming Xin outing MY nearly got her killed in public
🥳🥳MY kicking Ming Xin's arse! Yay. Called it, Emperor Yaoguang is blind and an ungrateful arse. I'm glad that JBZ seems to take the title solely to piss people off and likely get Ming Xin punished. Also glad he is probably not gonna be close to the empress any time soon, and protects MY and her dad from his ungrateful father. At least he sees MY as a victim too and not as someone who stole his life. (More sadly, he loses his master's good memory, MY hug him please.) At least shifu-father in-law recognises he has to make GMD for JBZ.
Oh the irony... if Ming Xin hadn't poisoned MY then none of this would have been uncovered and he'd still at least be a well-off prince. Now, his greed will likely bring everything crashing down. *slow clap*
Am really interested in how we get to them attacking CY/SL.
(Also, finally you can go back and notice why MY's marriage REALLY bothered shifu. No dad wants to see their daughter, a) effectively pimping herself for meds, and b) being romanced in front of them 😅🤣😂)
WHY tf are Yaoguang Mountain people so ungrateful? At least thank her for 7 years of blessed rain OK?
^^This^^ She didn't deliberately lie. She was a victim. And yeah, she gave them seven years of victory; the only reason she lost is because (fake) lil bro messed it up. The ingratitude is astounding.
JBZ does suggest once that he felt that MX was actually going to win but then something went wrong (poison kicked in). And even at that point, she was poisoned and in his spirit well, which suppressed her power somewhat. So, it is highly probable she could and would have if either one of those circumstances didn't occur.
Why is she after revenge? She lost in a tournament. Accept it and move on. Train harder and try and win the next…
Because she didn't lose fairly. She was poisoned. JBZ's win wasn't clean, and even he admits that he thought she was actually able to win before her power suddenly gave out. She initially thinks JBZ gave her the poison during the battle too, which adds to why she wants revenge. Add to this the fact she's proud, and she's been conditioned to base her self-esteem on winning, of course she wants revenge.
How many SMLs get told they're a SML and they have/had no chance? That aside, he only learned it later, and he had every chance to grow beyond his character like all the others. He actually really ends up choosing to be the annoying SML, which frankly, is annoying because he was such a gloriously subtle idiot at the beginning.
Yay, Ming Xin is getting a quick beatdown! Prayers answered. Welcome back War God Ming Xian.
Aww, Buxiu wants his kitty bf back. So sweet how he defeats 725(?) people for the aid to return 27 to form. Couple goals.
JBZ and MY, also couple goals. No notes. Communication is so wonderful guys, don't you think? Love how "Liar" is entirely a term of endearment now, and that he's confident and proud in her power; then again, he kinda always found that attractive.
Ugh, SL/CY get off my screen. Fuyue, betray him already to save whatever's left of him, or just yourself, you poor foolish fox.
Huh... there's a third brother for SL/CY (fourth prince)... could have sworn he killed them all already. Whelp, looks like the family murder spree will continue at least! Should start taking bets if any of them will actually survive this series...
*on a side note, why do these families keep giving their kids similar names. I know that the hanzi are different, but the pronunciation differences are so damn minute it hurts. Ming Xian, Ming Xin, Chao Yuan, Chao Yan and Chao Yu (three of the four evil state brothers, the other one is Chao Xuan which is a fraction better)!! Really?!
I also don't think that bad emperor is as clever as he thinks he is at this rate. And I'm reaaaaaally curious about what Yaoguang Emperor is going to make of all this mess in his family, realm and everything else. Either he's a part of it or he's extremely blind.
MY's attraction to JBZ began even before their fake relationship. However, JBZ was the first to trust MY. During…
Ah, yes, I do agree that her interest was piqued by realising he had more depth. She kinda admits that to 27 when he chews her out on believing that JBZ didn't poison her.
Around what episode is that? I keep relegating the faking it to fairly early on, since they both are aware they're playing a game with the other.
i agree that he fell first but i think that they both had already fallen for each other before xunmings illusion.…
Yeah, I didn't explain the paradox with JBZ's feelings well as I focused on other things. My bad. I agree with you. My contention was that he has two contrasting "experiences" that make him both naive and self-wise at the same time. One is his lack of romantic love experience, and thus the loneliness (due to aforementioned horrible upbringing) which the granny and Buxiu can't fill, so when MY alternately love bombs him and shows genuine affection/care, he interprets it from the perspective of "haven't had this before, it's nice". Which is coupled with that postive experience with BYL: to a point MY does mirror that after all, it's the romance angle that she presents that is the difference. Hence why he is open to trust, trusting MY, and falling first. He's thus wise enough to recognise his feelings, but a bit naive about how it could backfire given he can't successfully read MY.
As for MY, I also agree. I wrote a few days ago in her defence about how her feelings are mixed up because her trauma is centred on usefulness and how that is very literally tied to her identity: even her initial relationship with JBZ relies on how useful she is to him and his plans. Hence why she is very hesitant to feel anything for him, then express that when she does, let alone trust the guy regardless. Given she's also dying (at a faster rate than he is anyway), it's not hard to see why one of them is more open than the other.

I'm not convinced by your first statement since she firmly believed JBZ was a womaniser who fatally poisoned her. But yes, he does start trusting her since he has less facts on her than she has on him. And he does fall first too since she's presenting a level of honesty in helping him which infers the love she says she has. But he's not fully into it until after the fox boy incident. He planned to use her to lure Xun Ming out, so his love wasn't total. Experiencing those fake memories seems to have been the final hit, coupled with her breaking that illusion and stopping herself from stabbing him, that gets him into the "I legit want to marry her" territory.
MY's situation is different, and I agree, she's suppressing whatever feelings she has, but how aware of them she is seems debatable. JBZ said in ep 26 (i think) that he believes her to have been genuine in saving him out of love from Xun Ming. Probably true. But how much she recognised it... She is surprised by the bridge and rock thing, and she promptly goes into his spirit well for her cure when she has a chance. Her death clock blinds her a bit more, I think, than conscious suppression. She does quickly wise up, though, due to recognising he is more genuine than she thought.
1. Will the leads get power boosts to Perfect Stage or whatever, of cultivation after being cured? The bad guys implied that the double dose lets you level up a lot. It would be interesting to see it happen in the tournament.
2. I think JBZ falls first partly because of his experience of loneliness and lack of any meaningful love, which ends up coupled with what happens in Xun Ming's illusion. JBZ gets hit with XM's intense love and then the grief of losing it when he re-enacts it. In turn MY actually only gets hit with fake love and MXL's resentment, so she's less aware of her own feelings and hence why she falls slower.
It's highly likely that SL/CY tells Ming Xin prior to the ceremony since they're teaming up. There isn't another…
In the trailer, they meet in the forest, or so it really looks like. It's entirely possible they're both playing/using each other, since Ming Xin is allied with his dad too. In either case, not sure I see Ming Xin getting out of either alliance options with intact power after whatever deadly upgrade he got.

Chu Guihong definitely got very annoying there. It was the point of him to be fair, but my gods it was fun watching him die twice.
