The only way for me to live is by becoming the villain - this would probably best sum up Xiao huan in this earlier episodes. He's a puppet trying to cut off the strings that grand tutor is using to manipulate him and He's not the only one because even Ling Cangcang is also one. In order to achieve his freedom, Xiao Huan is willing to be the bad guy, to push down his kidness and love in order to be able a great ruler he is meant to be and in order to protect the woman he loves. Everyone is probably going to hate him, despite the show telling you why he does what he does earlier compared to other drama. Remember, he does what he does in order to live and ensure that Ling CangCang can't be manipulated by her own father, even if that freedom mean tying her to him with a forced marriage and a shit ton of misunderstanding. He would bear her hatred in order to protect not only himself but her.
This show is good and frustrating at the same time, I feel that the Misunderstanding beetwen Xiao Huan and Ling CangCang would last at least half of the story and Xiao Huan would actually enforce the misunderstanding instead of telling her the truth, well who could blame him? The Grand Tutor is one hell of a good actor that he was willing to stake his own daughter and the entirety of his clans in order to achieve his goal
It's a Historical remake of "The Beauty Inside" drama. They kind of missed some points. Like the one sided rivalry that the sister had with ML, It was something that everyone said rather than showed in the story. It was also unnecessary long, the story could have been compressed into 24-30 episodes. I didn't want to compare it to the Korean version since this adaption has it's own charm but the FL feels a bit childish compared to the FL of the Korean drama, both have that outgoing, I don't care what people think personality but the FL in the korean version nailed it better. There are scenes that are almost 1:1 copy but changed a bit. Like, the airplane scene was changed into the Ghost market, The phone eas obviously changed into a sketchbook, cause you know, it's historical 😄. Though I did like the "3 Marriages" part that they added, they are probably the only pair that got married to one another several times in one lifetime 😄
Do I finally get to watch a genuine rich female lead with a non rich male lead?? Is it finally happening?? I am tired of Dramas where the MC is just "Ceo" "cold" or a guy who's personality can be summed up as "Rich". I want me more genuine Powerful, Rich Female leads, ff's let them live a good life, enough with struggling in the stories since they are already struggling in the real life.
Honestly, the only reason I even finished watching this is because I find the FML cute, that's it. The story wasn't really bad but it's missing something. This is one of those dramas where the revenge was not satisfying or maybe I just wanted her friend and ex to suffer more what they did.
He was able to love her anyway, because he found out that it wasn't her that betrayed the truce and slaughtered…
Funny thing is, he never hated her anyways, He even said in one episode that he just wanted to know the reason for being betrayed. He was already in love with her before he even found out that she got tricked or before he even knew she was the rival, as I said, He fell in love with her even more when he discovered who she was.
Yes, same thoughts! I was thinking this is a reverse reverse harem.. since he’s not a typical ML to have one.…
It's main Male Lead you twit. MC stands for Main Character which this story has two, one female and one male. We have been talking about the Male lead. Use your brain first before thinking you're better than other people.
10 episodes and still hasn't changed vut she acts like a pissed off wife now whenever he's surrounded by the other…
Well, Ellie's father did say it didn't matter what set up was between them so long as Ellie was happy and she's not that hard to keep happy. Tao Ru Shuang had a moment where she internally said if only he didn't marry her sister.

If this was a Harem relationship, the FML would be the female cold ceo, the sister would be the neglected sibling who fell for the ML because he took care of her, Ellie was the long time friend who's in love with him for the longest, and the worker would be the one that fell because he helped her solve her problem. They messed up the FML's character, I feel like her character was supposed to be the assertive and dominant type but she feels like a tsundere and a bad one at that. He and us are stuck with her 🤣🤣

Tao Ru Shuang and Ellie are currently my favorite. Ellie is so open about her affection and Tao Ru Shuang just clicks with him the very moment they met.

And she's kind of a hypocrite. She gets secretly pissed when the ML gets closed to ellie or her sister but calls out the ML whenever he calls her out about the other guy.
