Oooo okay I’ll go back and have a look at the convo between Wei Yan and Wei Sheng, but I think the “trouble” that Wei Xuan was causing was afterwards, like after he took over the Yanzhou army. But it would be good to confirm that it wasn’t Wei Yan. Thanks!!
Can someone explain the initial battle that led to Xie Zheng’s initial injuries. It shows that the army was ambushed I think, and then later a bunch of assassins (wearing white cloaks) arrive to make sure everyone is dead?
Who was behind it? Was it Wei Yan? And did he actually want to kill Xie Zheng? I don’t recall it ever being said that Wei Yan ordered to have Xie Zheng dead - it looked like he later just wanted to find that letter and to kill Changyu/Changning.
I asked this in an earlier post and someone said it was Wei Xuan that wanted to kill but I don’t recall that?
Can someone pls explain why changyu had to present the Tiger tally in court? I dont get why it proves that wei…
Lord Changxin refused to send troops because he claimed that the tiger tally that Wei Qilin presented to him (I think was given to him by Wei Yan) was not a real tiger tally - because it didn’t match his half. I think she presented it to show that the tiger tallys did match and it was Lord Changxin that simply asserted that they didn’t. I think she was trying to prove Wei Qilins innocence.
I just watched Ep 38 on IQIYI. Is it just me or did they remove the scene where Xie Zheng crawls out from under the sheets? I’ve been seeing that in spoilers of the leaked episodes. Wonder if there are any other differences in the leaked episodes and the ones released on the official platforms??
After watching all the eps(all 40) I didnot get the ending. They ended the life story and switched to the next…
Actually, in the novel it is Wei Yan who in prison falls asleep and then wakes up as his younger self, from a nap during a battle that happened before the Jinzhou incident - then he actively changes the course of events which leads to the “what if” narrative
It's assumed that You QianQian is a time traveller from the presen time which is why she knows about cavities.…
In the novel she says she’s from somewhere far away and if she were to walk there now it would take thousands of years. I think this also explains why she knew how to do mouth to mouth/CPR to save Qi Min. There isn’t much more about it and not particularly critical to the story.
Ep 34These 2 effing ministers. It wouldve been better if they were friends and they rehearse their act.18 lashes.…
In the novel, I think Xie Zheng gets the butler/main housekeeper (injured soldier of his fathers) to whip him 108x - he did it because he wanted to see Changyu and felt he shouldn’t because of Changyu’s father causing his own father to die in battle (in the novel it was Xie Zheng that avoided Changyu rather than the other way round).
