Don’t recall any of his subordinates dying and yes definitely not Xie Wu (but he does get badly injured). He also had more than 4 in the novel, I remember a Xie Shisan (13).

@Momina So I’ve finally gotten to the part where Yu Qianqian tells Changyu that she’s not from here but if she were to go back to where she came from it would take thousands of years. Doesn’t do much to the story as far as I can tell except for explains why she knows about modern day mouth to mouth/CPR to save Qi Min.

Based on the previews it looks like the next battle is where the old General He dies. If I recall correctly, there was supposed to be one big battle before this happens where FL saves the general. They must have cut scenes.
