I was wondering if anyone can explain the thing that Lin Sui gives to Jin Zhao before the big race? He says something about it buying him 20 seconds extra?

Sorry I meant Pian Pian dies while helping Bing Zhu kill the demons.
Pian Pians final wish was for Bing Zhu and Tan’er to be able to reunite so I think that’s what caused Tan’er to take over Pian Pian’s dead body.
I think it’s up to interpretation as to whether you think Hong Ye is “dead”. He’s sealed, which is what the 3 demons were, before they were released. Whether Xiao Yao is going back in time to just see Hong Ye or to make a change, that’s up to the viewer I guess (it’s literally only like the last couple of minutes).
I don’t want people to stop watching it just because some of us were disappointed with the ending.Honestly,…
I thought the decision to seal himself was way too abrupt at the end. I wonder if the ending would have been more satisfying if Xiao Yao figured a way to seal the Kun Lun mirror without Hong Ye having to seal himself.
Okay, I like some spoilers. I will watch the remaining episodes (from ep 33) some time next week but I do want…
Bing Zhu kills the 3 ancient demons one by one and absorbs their power. Pian Pian helps him dies during the last fight and Tan’er somehow come back by taking over Pian Pian’s body.
Hei Wu also dies after a fight with Xiao Mu and Xiao Yao. Xiao Mu ends up dying, leaving only Xiao Ming behind.
Wuhan and the other demons are still alive at the end.
Hong Ye is kind of no longer the Demon King at the end - I can spoil this for you if you want? There’s a final plot “twist” right at the end if you like.

I think the one I read was just a fan translation and had some parts left out, but was a reasonable translation: https://mydramanovel.com/star-trails/
There is another link in the discussions part of this page which also doesn't look "official" to me but I'm not sure.
I also read a Chinese version online but looking from the discussions, it might not be the entire novel - seems like only the physical novel is the most reliable. Might try and get my hands on a copy!

I can't remember what they said about the dog in the novel, but in the drama I'm pretty sure when Jiang Mu asks Jin Zhao why he has the dog, Jin Zhao says that San Lan found it and sent it to him because Jiang Mu had only just settled down in China and didn't want it to be troublesome for her.

No no, what I'm saying is - in the drama (when they are walking with the dog) I thought he said they only just recently found the dog. Where did they say he kept it for 6 years? I'm curious so might go back and have a look.
Of course, I'd be mega pissed if I was in Jiang Mu's situation - what I'm saying is I understand and empathise with Jin Zhao's side. Maybe this is what the writers wanted - people to get emotional about it!!!
im so mad, im the only one but… even the dog?! he took even the dog from her?! for 6 years?! that dog is at…

I also saw your comment below. It does seem a little extreme, but when I read the novel, I totally empathised with Jin Zhao leaving her for 6 years (his condition was a fair bit more serious in the novel and he wanted her to go out and experience the world). Maybe because I'm a little older, if I had a younger sibling that was 20 years old, I could see myself wanting them to experience life as a carefree young adult before having to commit to someone for life. But because they changed his condition in the drama, it did seem a bit more unreasonable.
