The novel suggests she found out the night before her Mum left to go overseas with her partner, so should be about the same time - although in the novel she goes back to do her final year of highschool and not some short foundation course. It’s in chapter 2 of the novel.

I think there’s a link to the novel in one of the discussion posts. He gets one of his legs amputated in the novel - gets a prosthetic. It seemed a lot more serious in the novel.

I’m not sure, I’m pretty agnostic, I have some favourite actors where I’ve watched all their dramas but some of my favourite dramas have actors/actresses that I don’t normally even watch.
A few of my favourites this year would probably be The First Frost, Love’s Ambition, Love In The Clouds, Blossom, Fated Hearts, Prisoner of Beauty, The Blossoming Love and of course SPEED AND LOVE
Yes, I thought it was good. I read it after watching a few episodes so I kinda had a picture of what people looked like when reading which made it all the better! If you can read Chinese I suggest reading the Chinese version

Great TED talk. I think what comes through more in the novel (compared to the drama) is him also wanting her to experience life for herself too. If I had a child, I would also hope for them to see the world and experience things for themselves before making big decisions in life.

Ep 21: The part before the Christmas party in Canada said “3 years later” and the part before the flashback when San Lai tells Jiang Mu that Lightning ran away says “6 years ago”
I might have missed some - there was a “1 month later” which I think was just before Jin Zhao messages Jiang Mu to say San Lai will bring her to see him (before leaving for Canada) and then there was another “6 months later” which I think would have been before she went back to Thailand again. Those might have been yesterdays episodes.
The clips we've seen from later episodes (him in a long tan coat, or a tan sweater) look like he has both legs.…
I am also super curious whether he will lose his leg. Heaps of people are saying he won’t but I feel like it needs to be a serious enough injury for him to distance himself from Mumu? He gets a prosthetic in the novel and Mumu couldn’t tell initially either until they went hiking, so maybe same situation? Was he wearing pants or shorts in the scenes you saw?
