Genuine query. Do you watch shows solely based on looks? Like if the leads are very good looking but that's it , no chemistry , no depth , juvenile acting, will that kind of drama be something you would be willing to watch? I don't mean it in a negative sense, that's your personal opinion ,although I don't stand by it in the slightest, and you presented it fairly, but I think that not being convinced of viewing a show solely because of the looks of any cast member not suitable according to your standards ,without any critique related to acting or any other aspect of the show sounds shallow and dumb.
Actors main parameter should be acting, and I am not saying visuals don't matter, they do, but I don't think she would be here today if her visuals were not considered beautiful. According to me she is very gorgeous.
However, Going only for the visual aspect will lead you to miss out on fairly good shows and dramas. And thankfully award shows tend to focus on the main aspect of dramas which is acting.
Moreover keeping oneself untouched in terms of looks with regards to plastic surgery in a country like Korea which is absolutely submerged in the obsession of its beauty standards makes her even more commendable to me.
According to me she has a very dynamic face and has quite unique features that she can and has used to potray various kinds of roles in different genres, more so like a model, and thats what makes her so pleasing to me in my eyes. And personally I feel she would be even more appealing to westerners as she has the desired high cheekbones and sharp jawline.

I personally like to see natural and human faces with uniqueness and mystique rather than the so called beautiful faces that have no individuality. Natural and genuine faces like hers makes the emotions they potray when they are acting seem realistic and relatable not stiff and strained, as if it was not just a mere skit, and I think that is the absolute goal of any drama ; Making you feel genuine and heartfelt emotions while portraying a storyline that leaves you entertained.
