you're giving intl emmys too much credit. also see the category and dramas they were competing with. I agree that quality and messaging matters but you can definitely find half a dozen historical kdramas with better quality than these two. I also agree that tv ratings aren't the best barometer for drama's quality coz a lot of external factors affect that. but as the saying goes, cream rises to the top. best productions always stand the test of time. let's see if its true for this one as well...🤔🙂

I think more often than not, SK does gets it right when it comes to appreciating good content or performances. I haven't seen this movie but like I said in previous article about it, immigration stories almost never do well on box office. Compound that with tense situation in the country, it was never gonna be a smash hit.
