I understand where you are coming from, you’re not the first of many to express the same frustrations and concerns…
I never mentioned her being an adult as an argument though, but I do understand where you're coming from and I don't disagree. I think some people are taking my comment from the wrong angle, I'm not saying she shouldn't do or say some things she did based on what she went through, but it's quite unrealistic to do all those things and expect others not to be hurt, and react accordingly. San Yan is a very devoted ML but I think they got together way too soon. I wasn't convinced how she got healed in those six months, and she still has many things to resolve from her past before getting together in my opinion, and everything felt rushed in E26. If she had gotten justice from the uncle, had a closing conversation with her mom, and left to find her path in life, asking the ML for some time apart, I would understand the flow of events, but the sequence didn't make sense to me:
1- E25 starts with San Yan being hurt *looking forward to know what happened, @director, I hope this makes sense, please*- he previously tried to find answers to what happened to Yi Fan, but I don't get why he didn't talk to her mom or aunt 2- YiFan friends found her randomly in HK, but this city is huge, this was a crazy part of the plot. 3- She decided to confront her past after seeing her friends, but like okay, what? Just like that? I just didn't get that. - moving on 4- Yi Fan and San Yan saw each other again in the recital, but the reunion didn't feel hurt fluttering, it was very awkward - this is more an observation because they talked as if nothing happened but it's fine. 5- She came back to work at the TV Station, but wasn't the uncle working there? What happened? (I guess we will know later on) 6- I'm still failing to see how she healed, or how the distance helped. Distance doesn't solve anything really - and I know CCP is mostly the issue here because of censorship about mental health.
It's just this arc I have problems with, mostly with the directing and writer's lastest decisions over anything because I read they change a few things from the original novel, the rest of the show has been amazing so far.
I don't fully agree with the comment about the FL being "extremely selfish" for leaving and then calling the ML…
I do understand why she left, but I still think the action could be considered kind of selfish from another perspective. My other issue is I never understood how she heeled from the trauma during those six monts, butI do think she grew troughout the drama at opening up to others and standing up for herself.
I see where you’re coming from, but I thought I read a comment here that mentioned she sought medical help in…
The biggest issue is that I see that CCP tends to mild or censor to some extend seeking mental health, they may see it as a western thing, that's why in very few dramas we see the character actually seeking this help to cope with serious issues like this. I don't think that times heals things, and the doctor help she got seems to be a professional doctor and not a therapist. I understand one needs time and I don't blame her because is her trauma response, but if we decide to look into every angle the people around her are going to get hurt and if the FL doesn't get treated is going to keep happening, realistically the ML may have attachment issues as a response to living the same experience twice, but his inmediate reaction was interesting to me. I think they need to explore the issues from many angles. I just felt frustrated at the drama direction in the last few episodes, and hope it gets better.
Despite minor things that made little sense to me, I enjoyed the drama, but the HK arc was the camel in the back. FL's decision to get up and leave one random Tuesday and calling the ML six months later to check in on him was extremely selfish and self-centered - as if he was waiting with the door open for her to come back whenever she sets her mind to.
I understand all her struggles and can sympathize with her, but I can also aknowedlge that mental illness without treatment doesn't get better years later, specially those victims of SA; holding it in and then coming face to face with the abuser is very triggering and complicated, more so when is a family member. All those things in play are very horrible, and sometimes a way to get closure is bringing what happened to the justice system, doing that and going to therapy helps come to terms that what happened is in the past and you can move on. Now, leaving it untreated we see how it affects everyone around her, and is hard for me coming to terms with the fact she can leave, broke all the pieces in her life and comeback with no consequences this time, is fair if the ML doesn't want to accept it, or wait until she goes to therapy before deciding if she's ready for a serious relationship. ML is going to end up with serious PTSD and is sad the drama doesn't explore that at all.
Are we supposed to accept that the FL's trauma can break others with no consequences? Is something I asked myself at the end of the episode, and can't shake it off.
Two empty SMLs so far in 10 episodes are draining me. I guess the writer follows the original storyline, but I wonder if they're necessary. I feel like they're getting closer without people in between. Plus, the last SML triggers me, he invades her personal space way too often and takes away her chance or meaning behind her "NO", it's pretty simple; if someone is saying "no", take it as it is. I'm frustrated but like the cinematography so let's see where this goes.
Jisoo fans will take everything personally, same with snowdrop. You’re here for a long drive
She does have haters, but I doubt anyone who didnt like the drama has a personal grudge againts her. Some people don't even mention her in the comments, but you guys make it a life mission to comment on anything that's either negative or not praise worthy. The drama just aired, there's not enough data for the ratings, it'll probably go up close to the ending, even LovelyRunner started with low ratings, got super high once it reached their target audience and later on got massive hate from drama watchers. This site works like that, don't take things personally if someone doesnt like it, I dont think this site is even a trusted source for reviews
1st episode was boring but gets much better, my review so far (8/10):
Good points: Realistic army depiction, zombie invasion drama if you like the genre, FL is very charming and nice person, action scenes fighting zombies, the drama doesn’t take themselves seriously
Bad points: Korean CGI has a long way to go, ML is the nagging type -which is annoying, ML and his friend are Dump and Dumber Korean version- but their stupidity can come off as excessive at times.
What I’m expecting: Comedy cannot rely on stupid decisions or characters long enough, I hope they switch it off a little bit from time to time, introducing of more interesting characters (including more female characters), chemistry of the main leads.
Ok so i was excited for this drama cause a rom com zombie drama is new and sounds fun but ep 1 was boring af and…
I feel you, the guys seem like a bunch of losers and the first episode was boring. I’m guessing it’ll get better once zombies start attacking. when it comes to comedy the only kdrama that I found funny was Welcome to Waikiki and Mr Queen so let’s see for this one
I didn’t watch any j dramas in 2024 and sadly didn’t know about this one while it was airing. I’m planning to watch it now. If there’s any other J drama that was your fav last year, can you recommend it to me?
It's never actually stated, so I'm going off of speculation. I think Suji's father is compensating for how he…
I didn’t think about this, but now that you mention it he may feel guilty for everything. SooJin seems very frugal and doesn’t wear fancy stuff or ears expensive meals so she may not even care about going to a private over public school but the idea that her father is the one who tried to compensate for that gives him more depth so it makes sense.

The double, joy of life, kill me love me, and She and Her Girls are dramas I still want to finish.
I still feel that 2024 wasn’t the best CDrama year, I hope 2025 is much better
