Really enjoyed this one from start to finish. I am only sad that it had to end. Highly recommend, just go in understanding that this is a comedy first and foremost. Perfect to watch after a long day :).
I can see how the last episode appears as a bit jam-packed but it has been an enjoyable journey for me so far,…
SHLYE's second couple is extremely entertaining to watch! I'm enjoying the psychological aspect of this one, though I can't say I wait for the episodes every week. It's more like something I watch on Sundays when I remember.
If you haven't watched Bad Papa, that one is pretty interesting. I'd say that has one of the best soundtracks, with every song mixing very successfully with what it's being shown. So the songs create a mood rather than "decorate it".
Good article. If I was just starting to watch the drama I'd probably agree with what you've said since it did have a strong start.
However, the drama has been going downhill ever since the melodrama piled up, to the point that I struggled to finish the latest episode. Still, I also agree that the second couple is quite cute and they bring something interesting to the show. So there's at least that :).
As to the soundtrack, I'm sadly not a fan. I think some of the songs don't even suit the events shown, to begin with. It doesn't help how repetitive the songs get after a while. But take that with a grain of salt since the choice of music way too cheesy for my taste.
But hey, I didn't like WWWSK either, so perhaps this drama is just not my cup of tea. I'll probably force myself to finish it, if only to find out if the FL ever finds a way to stop "transforming".
Such a good article to read, i'm going to give this drama a try. I'm one that stays far away as possible from…
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the article and that you're willing to give this drama a chance. I have a high tolerance for horror, so for me this was more in the realm of a "thriller" with a bit of horror mixed in.
That said, there are no jump scares that I remember. In fact, the first two episodes are probably the "creepiest", but from there onward it lightens up considerably. So if you muscle through those first two episodes, you should be fine :).
It was a really nice article to read, thank you. I really enjoyed watching this drama, it was really interesting.…
Thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed both the article and the show. It certainly wasn't a drama without faults, but it was still very entertaining :).
I agree with you! Although there were some plot holes and flaws, the drama was very enjoyable for me and actually…
Based on the ending I'd say that they would probably keep the same cast (or at least the main leads). Because yes, I'd only watch it to see more of Da IL and Yeo Wool!
I did enjoy this drama, and fully agree with you about the visuals. My main problem with the drama, (that snowballed…
I agree. I think they jumped the gun and then realized that they had to fill time to draw the series out. Which then caused the characters to basically run in circles and make the same mistakes over and over. A solution would've been to tackle other cases, as you've mentioned, and leave the reveal of Woo Hye towards the second half of the show.
I have mixed feelings when it comes to Lee Ji Ah's acting. I always felt like I wasn't sure if some things were…
Indeed, that's the beauty of having discussions, being able to accept when another person doesn't think the way we do, but being open to hearing them out as well.
1 and 2 I can agree with and does sound plausible (even if a little too convenient). 3, however, I'm still not…
For 1, I agree. Though I'd say we did see some desperation but BEFORE (using low caps for emphasis, not for screaming) he was able to manifest himself. One such case that comes to mind if when Sang Sub was "hanging himself". If there was ever a time to manifest himself, that would be it. Which could mean that the key resides possessing a "conscious desire/intention to manifest himself".
For 2, yes it was disappointing. I'd expected the final confrontation to be between Yeo Wool (the light) and Woo Hye (the "pain") since the buildup was pointing towards that. Especially since Da Il had already tried and failed to win against Woo Hye several times. But, not for the first time, drama-land demands that the man be the one who sacrifices/tackles the main villain in the end.
Thank you for this wonderful article, I'm only a few episodes in so far (so many dramas and not enough hours in…
This one will be a hard bet then, because the answer is yes and no. For most of the series, Da Il is not dead but in a coma. Meaning, they have to find his body while harboring hope that they can save him.
However, the resolution of the main conflict causes the death of Da Il's body. So he remains as a ghost (main leads are reunited, but one is alive and the other isn't). Though the end is not quite sad, it's not rainbows and sunshine either.
The last episode does serve as a kind of pilot for a possible season two, with the characters reuniting to form an unofficial "ghost" squad to fight spirits.
I think I can help you out with some stuff.1. Da Il's ghost form is not dependent on people being scared of him…
1 and 2 I can agree with and does sound plausible (even if a little too convenient). 3, however, I'm still not sure. I just now remembered there was the restaurant manager involved as well. It was never clearly spelled out whether he was given a moral dilemma.
Though in his case, it would've made a LOT more sense if Woo Hye had forced him to choose between being spared or his son dying. After all, that was the perfect scenario for her to get validation for her own choice of "killing" her father.
There's just one reason to watch this and that's to watch Choi Daniel and Lee Ji Ah and their awesome performances…
I have mixed feelings when it comes to Lee Ji Ah's acting. I always felt like I wasn't sure if some things were intentional or not when it came to her. Like, for example, during the scene where she's laughing at Da Il (the one I took the gif from), I was never sure if her laughter was supposed to sound fake or not. Was she laughing sarcastically at him? Or was she truly amused but her acting fell short?

As to the gifs, not sure why some of us are able to see them and others aren't. In any case, here's the link for said gif: https://i.postimg.cc/Wb111g8V/Antagonist-Laugh.gif
