Till now I thought Song Cha Ok was a budding Sociopath ( who believed in what she did even if it was socially and morally wrong ) but it turns out she was a mere puppet who became someones dog to climb the ladder which is a bit disappointing.
It was weird that the main male lead would voluntarily have physical contact with his male servant ( who we know is a woman ) like hugging, almost kissing, accidental kissing, taking while in near kissing state, excessive concern etc. He does this for no reason and with no one else regardless of gender.
This is how I like flashbacks to be handled, bit by bit as present story goes on. Tired of the usual child actors for 1/4 of drama followed by adults for rest 3/4ths.
The big drawback is this makes the story hard to follow and causes most people to not watch it causing drop in ratings.
The biggest reason Mishil was a Great Villain was due to the fact that whatever evil deeds she did she would never harm Silla. A villain with principles while also being ruthless at her enemies.
This drama will be the benchmark on how to pace the story, each episode is satisfying while also have a cliffhanger ending. The well paced script coupled with everything else coming together in harmony makes this something that will remain in the memory of viewers for a long time.
" The same trash tabloid reporter from 13 years ago " was something that took me by surprise, I didn't expect In Ha to go that far with her emotions. The InHa's mom got the "Impact" that she was asking for.
Story was good, somewhat more realistic than the usual dramas but failed to become something wonderful.
The drama felt too long as it felt that the writer kept on modifying the story( even the genre kept changing ), the office drama parts ,romance parts , even the angsty parts were fewer, even the daughter had no impact on the story where she bears a huge change due to the decisions of the parents. People not expressing what they feel, misunderstandings, whine and other frustrating parts had more screen time and kept on repeating for most part. If not for the character of Yong Shik who was the saving grace this would have been poor average drama.
