I give you credit for stamina because I tried reading the English translation and it was so bad that I finally…
Bahaha I feel you. It definitely didn't feel like a BL, I skipped a lot and WQ and XY's relationship had little to no build up.
The online versions are poorly translated but the epub version I read was actually very decent and seems more accurately translated. I have mentioned above on how to download it if you're interested.
But then again just don't waste your time, there aren't anything you'll be missing 😂 I was having a similar conversation above too on why they even tried to make WQ and XY happen. It wasn't romance either. It was mostly about the upbringing of the siblings and what struggles WQ went through since he was a child. Overall the story is realistic, it definitely cannot be considered a proper BL. The leads relationship was like this small friction of the entire story. And Priest didn't bother to flesh it out much either for the reader to build an emotional connection with them.
That's why the series seems to be doing a better job. They're focusing more on the BL aspect of it and as viewers it's more engaging for us. Leads have chemistry and they have taken the creative liberty to opt out secondary characters from the novel too. That's good cz there were a lot of side drama going on in the book that weren't necessarily adding any substance to the story.

Where can I read the novel in English
Z Library is free. You just need an account. Also I think it's the epub version so if you don't have a epub reader better download something like ReadEra too.

Yessss finally a BL with leads who are mature age!!! Too many high school / college BLs I've been craving for some adult romance 😂 anyways the plot looks interesting and the leads have chemistry. Looking forward to this. The senpai is already a menace, I hope the girlfriend saves herself soon before it gets ugly!

I am finally done with the novel too. Spent 2 days and 2 nights straight reading it. It was very interesting.…
I'm a big fan of slow-burn romances, don't care how long they take to get together as long as we get a natural build-up in their relationship. But WQ and XY weren't burning anything at all. It was not even slow it was literally non-existent 😂 I think WQ must've beat up XY more than he has kissed him in the entirety of their story 😂. The author was really testing my patience. I only made it to the end cz I wanted to know if everything worked out for them. I mean all 3 siblings had a very traumatic childhood. It was only just to give them a happy ending.

Totally agree with you, I mean I skipped most of it as I got bored half way through. There were a lot of side character drama going on it felt like the author abandoned the main quest and started going on side quests 😂 I literally didn't care about Ma Zi or his mom, the grandma or even San Pang or his family. They had too many occasions with WQ, but literally no build up between him and XY. We didn't get much WQ's POV of liking XY too. Like did he reciprocate only cz XY made an advance at him??!! Cuz there was no indication whatsoever about WQ having any romantic interests at all. Towards his brother or otherwise. So I was actually left a bit confused when they happened out of nowhere.
It's 69 chapters and up until the last 10 chapters or so it wasn't even a BL 😂 even XY didn't start any romantic inner monologues about his brother till then. Understandable given he was so young but at least give something to keep the readers anticipating??!!!
I think the series is doing a better job at projecting the brothers relationship. Also WQ is less mean in the series too. He really was unapologetic towards his siblings in the novel. I mean I do get his POV of acting out like that. He himself was a kid and was bearing adult responsibilities.
Anyways, I'm glad the production team has understood the novel in a better way cz the series WQ and XY have great chemistry.

I read it in 2x speed. Wei Quan was a typical elder brother to Xiao Yuan I really couldn't figure out how the author was gonna turn them into lovers. He was much harsher towards him too. Series Wei Qian seems more tamed and softer than the novel one. The turning point for WQ was that party and XY going abroad right away. If XY didn't take any initiative I don't think WQ had the faintest idea that there was a possibility like that. XY just conflicted him and went away for 4yrs and that's what got WQ thinking of at least something beyond platonic with his brother.

So I went ahead and read the novel. It has 69 chapters and 2 extras. Tbh, I think the series is giving more depth to the 2 brothers' relationship cz in the novel until the latter chapters there's not much going on between Wei Qian and Xiao Yuan at all. It was mostly an unrequited love on Xiao Yuan's part whereas Wei Qian never considered Xiao Yuan anything beyond a brother. There are many different side characters and conflicts in the story, the leads' romance is not the main focus nor do they have the common falling-in-love tropes of a usual BL. If you are expecting some heartwarming, cheesy romance this is not it. Wei Qian and Xiao Yuan somehow happened to start their relationship without much solid ground. It was mostly persuasion on Xiao Yuan's part as he was the most invested one and wanted it to work out somehow. I skipped a lot of text as they weren't necessarily interesting. Priest is not your usual BL author for sure, but I am glad the author is trying to give more realistic depictions to BLs than recycle the same old stories we all know.
Overall comparing the series to the novel I think the series is doing a better job at adapting the story from it. If they have copied the same flow of the story I don't think it will keep the viewers engaged for long. Currently, the series is doing a better job of picking up the pace of the story while taking creative liberty and also staying true to the source material.

I can't stop listening to the OST. It's so beautiful. Love the story so far. When Taiwan does BLs it doesn't feel like one. The emotions are raw, the acting is immaculate, the music is addictive, and the story is unique and refreshing, they just always put some serious effort into quality content.

The best part is that the main focus is not on two men loving each other or the judgments that they'll face, it's the focus on how they have other problems around them, especially the eldest trying to take care of his family and job while dealing with trauma and the middle one struggling with his unrequited feelings and the youngest trying her best for the approval of her brothers, it's a lot of realistic things.

I mean it's tiring to see the same old trope of leads getting scrutinized by their families and society and the whole story is always about them trying to "come out" or "be accepted". I'm glad that Taiwan always tries to break these stereotypes of common BLs.

A half-hour episode a week for this series is literal torture. I'm invested already and it's been a minute since I've been genuinely excited about a BL.

I know this is gonna leave me crying and shi*! Taiwan is coming in strong this year with BLs. It's always a pleasure to watch their projects. Well-thought-through plots, raw and realistic acting, beautiful OSTs, and above all they're not made for the sake of making BLs. I just love that they always challenge the stereotypes and try to give us unique stories. I mean we might as well call them melodrama rather than BL.
We're off to a strong start and I love all the actors. Excited to see some familiar cameos too. The leads already have natural chemistry and even the child actors did pretty well. This is gonna be a tearjerker and I have a feeling this is gonna be a rollercoaster of emotions. Loving the opening and ending OSTs. I do wanna check out the web novel, but looks like the series is doing justice to it. Maybe I will read it if I really can't handle the curiosity.
Looking forward to my weekends again, and I know that we're certainly gonna be hooked and invested in this.

This series is giving me all the feels. Kai is stealing the show. I loved the manga, it was too good to have ended in just 6 chapters! The leads are doing justice to the story and I'm happy that they're following the manga closely. Can't believe this is only 6 episodes. Why are all the good shows so short! Looking forward to Hiro's reciprocation!

OMG this is so cuteeeee. I dig Kai's stoic attitude. He's not overly attached, he just gives without expecting anything in return. Sad on his part tho. But I got mixed feelings when he jacked off Hiro, I mean it's your supposedly straight friend whom you met after 10yrs and you crash at his place outta the blue and jack him off the next day to cure his insomnia?!!! NANIII! J-BLs certainly have the weirdest plot devices! (Can't blame them either, so far they're following the manga to a T)

I couldn't help myself so I read the manga. Gosh I didn't expect a 6 Chapter manga will hit me in the feels at the end of it. Kai deserves the world. Maybe he has questionable flirting methods but my boi is adamant and straightforward with what he wants. Hiro finally grows a pair and uses his common sense (you feel for him too, it's the reality of corporate world, sadly) and everyone gets their happy ending. I think 6 episodes would just do fine for this drama. The chemistry is chemistrying so all's well! They do have room for another season to show how Kai and Hiro continue their relationship but it's okay to stop where the manga ends too. I encourage anyone who likes the drama to read the manga, it's short and sweet. Kai won me over!

p.s. also I love how the dynamics of their characters sync so well. They don't have lovey dovey language, and both of them address each other like any other guy friend would do, but somehow you know they care and like each other differently. I love it. It could be the way it's translated too, but it's refreshing. The manga was a pretty good story.

This was a delightful binge-watch. K-BLs strike again. The cast did surprisingly well, and for a high school drama, I love the unique take on the plot. Episodes had a healthy run time and we got 2 days a week. It was so good that everything was over before I knew it. Will surely miss them.
I love that K-BLs are coming in strong this year. Now I can anticipate the rest of the year with good content. I wish we had more episodes, but I'm glad that everything was covered well without dumb drama. Both Tae-Myung and Yeo Woon took my heart as the leads. I also like the fact that they didn't drag the love triangle and didn't make Sang Won a sad second lead. At least our boi took the rejection like a pro and moved on. Kyung Hoon was adorable. It was a solid love story and my BL heart is satisfied. Would love to see this cast again regardless of the genre of the project. And the production team did well with this one. Kudos to you!

Gosh, this movie was beautifully painful. I never expected that two kids would be able to break my heart. I was fine till the last few moments. When they emerged from that tunnel and I realized what had happened I was crying. The story was so touching and masterfully executed, the two child actors have a natural talent. I felt bad for every character, from the mom to the principal and especially Mr. Hori, and Minato and Yori, nobody deserved to go through the pain they all individually experienced.
Japan creates the most magnetic stories regardless of the heavy subjects they may address. It was aesthetically pleasing and quite deserving of all the spotlight. Maybe the characters and the concept could be questionable for some, but the director made it painfully realistic it'll take a hit on anyone without a doubt. The subtlety of the affection, the depiction of their childhood innocence, the realization of their feelings, and the endurance of pain between both adults and the kids, I was transfixed throughout.
A bittersweet, thought-provoking triumph of a movie.

The lead couple is not giving for some strange reason. Babe and Charlie seem better off as Friends with Benefits than lovers. I know rooting for Way and Babe is also not gonna go anywhere cz obviously they're not canon in this story. I keep watching this in fast-forward even though the plot is messy cz I want to see more of the side couples. I was looking forward to something more between Alan and Jeff in ep 8 but still nothing. Pete and Way were giving me a ray of hope from the previous episode and they went ahead and yeeted it out the window in ep 8. Kenta also seems to have some history with Pete, their confrontation was intense, I hope to know more.
This whole series is giving me mixed signals and I wish they polished up the plot without lazy writing cz this is an interesting approach to the usual Thai BLs which are mostly college-based. They're not explaining much about the omegaverse nor the origins surrounding each power and we still haven't seen the potential of utilizing them and the uniqueness of them cz none of the characters barely use them. I don't know anything about omegaverse and when they throw out words like Enigma and Alphas I'm like hell yea I know what they mean, I can totally relate,,,lol. Anyways, 5 more eps, and I genuinely hope they'll try to redeem this mess, I'd like to see Pavel/Nut or Nut/Ping as leads on different projects cz both pairs have chemistry.

TBH there's nothing significantly special going on in this series but I just like the less complicated, simple, and cliche plot it has. I'm waiting for the second lead couple to start dating cz they give me such chaotic energy, especially Dynamite. I like how he's solid in his one-direction love towards Fire,,lol! Episode 6 was kinda slow and there wasn't much going on, I did watch it on fast-forward, but I don't mind it. We'll finally get the second couple next week so I'm looking forward to it.

I don't have a solid reason as to why I am still watching this series tbh. The plot is messy and the acting is still below average even after 7 eps. Unlike other BLs, I just don't feel the genuineness between the leads. I can't bring myself to support Charlie's character. From the beginning they made him seem shady and secretive and even after revealing his honest motives behind lying to Babe, I just can't acknowledge his sincerity. It kinda comes off as fake. Maybe it's cz he only has this playful, smiley expression all the time, I can't tell apart if it's real or not. The way they made Babe and Charlie fall in love so fast also kinda takes away the build-up and the momentum. On the contrary, I do feel the chemistry between Way and Babe, I know they obviously have no future, but with the history between them and how Way portrays his feelings, I can see the unrequited love he has for Babe with a bit of obsession mixed within. I think Pavel and Nut are the best acting-wise in the series so far.
It's the things that should matter in a relationship that the producers have seemed to neglect when it comes to Charlie and Babe. The lying is forgiven after a bit of fuming from Babe and clinginess from Charlie. Not to mention the lying happening multiple times regardless of the motives behind it and how it was making a fool outta Babe. The power stealing is beyond me and the way they just casually made Charlie drop it in front of Babe and expected Babe to forgive him only after he merely mentioned how he'll die for Babe if Babe wants him to give them back. I mean that's selfish. Obviously, Babe won't expect that from Charlie. After all, he's in love. The way they built up Charlie's character negates the sympathy it should gain from the audience whereas Way's character makes us sympathize with him or even pity him even though we know he might become an antagonist at some point. I hope they'll redeem him through Pete and not make him entirely unlikable by the end.
I haven't read the OG story nor have any idea how this whole omega verse thing works, but honestly, that whole mama/papa scenes took the cringe bar to new levels for me. The intimate scenes are fairly good, it's less awkward, and both Pavel and Pooh seem natural, but they just give me more of an FWB vibe than lovers. Maybe it's just me.
Anyways, I'm going to continue to watch this in fast-forward. Hopefully, we'll see some plot development in the next episode, more of Alan/Jeff and Way/Pete (I'm interested in this couple now cz they give off more mature chemistry).

I can't figure out if this series is for real or if it's some big ass parody. The cringe was beyond me that the hair on each of my arms were up the whole time. The weather is cold anyway and this certainly wasn't cz of the cold. *Talking in Japanese with a THICK Thai accent* wat da actual F was thatttttttttttt! My eyes rolled all the way back I think I saw my brain! I mean, WHY?! For what! And the sound effects ?! I needn't mention what sounds, but were they necessary?!!!!! Clearly, this is for a mature audience but at least try to keep up with the maturity. Thailand seriously should take notes on how to do Mature BLs from Japan, Taiwan, or Korea. There's some mystery element in the plot and I see they're trying something here, but the bad acting and the cringe dialogues are definitely not helping. I'm writing this as constructive criticism cz at the moment I seriously can't find anything remotely flattering to write about this series.
