i think they did, it's just a feeling because maybe moon baek chose lee do because there's something else that…
yeah It could also be that they're not related, it's just that too many hints were thrown around. to me, the most inexplicable factor of their dynamics is why moon baek chose lee do out of everyone. and why he was so hellbent on helping him. even when he did hurt him, he purposely didn't do it fatally.

my silly conjecture is (which can absolutely be wrong): they are definitely brothers, moon baek knows it and he chose lee do to a) get closer to him and understand his point of view b) probably try to get lee do on his side. he thought that the fact that they both had hard childhoods would have brought them closer, he expected lee do to have the same repressed anger and frustration towards the world and that all of this would have eventually lead them to be closer and to be both on moon baek's side. but he didn't expect lee do to have a completely different point of view and morals and for them to be so unwavering. he tried to break lee do by "using" his captain's suffering, but that didn't work either. the entire scene where moon baek shot lee do was actually the breaking point in their relationship, especially moon baek realising they are too far away and that, despite them being brothers and sharing a painful past, they don't have a common ground on which they can build a rapport.

again it's just a silly hypothesis! :)

yep that's why i think there's more to the story between lee do and moon baek. notice how at some point one of the junior police officers said that "moon baek" wasn't the real name of young kwang's character but it was borrowed from a fellow employee of the company where he was working, so to be fair we don't even know moon baek's real name

THANK YOU! I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER
i'm pissed, it's not like they didn't have the possibility to do any better. also why pick up a complex story and then try to compress it in 10 episodes only? what a hot mess

I'm confused...did MoonBaek and LeeDo already know each other?
i think they did, it's just a feeling because maybe moon baek chose lee do because there's something else that linked them. at some point lee do even said to moon baek "if my younger brother was alive, he would be your age". we know anything can happen in kdramaland lmao so could they be brothers ??

it hurts to admit that the story sucks, it could have been developed in hundreds of different (BETTER) ways. i feel like they didn't do justice to the characters and the actors' work, both young kwang and nam gil could have taken the drama to an entire different level, if only they were given the possibility to act on a better storyline. they still did amazingly well but i was left with a bittersweet taste because .... imagine having all that budget and these amazing actors, and a good concept and then deliver crumbs ...

kim young kwang 🤝 playing a gangster / drug dealer / serial killer in every single one of his project (and i love him for that tbh, i support actors finding their best role and playing it infinitely)

the acting in this drama is INSANE, especially the male lead. i love how they portrayed him as a know-it-all, smart, dedicated prosecutor without making him stiff or annoying. he's still a wonderfully fragile human being, that bottles up his emotions yet he always ends up showing them through his eyes. his eyes are so beautiful, you'd be able to connect to his character even through them only.
aside from the acting, i feel like the drama was good, like the core idea wasn't bad but the story progression was a bit lacking, it felt like they were dragging the story unnecessarily. it was very good up to episode 7 but then it unfortunately went downhill

Title Chimera Spoiler
I had really high expectations but after watching it i'm really surprised with the reviews. This drama was a mess,…
i have watched 9 episodes so far and i pretty much agree with everything you are saying, besides it being messy it's also nothing original, especially if you've already watched quite some crime thrillers. the plot twists aren't engaging enough, the characters are poorly written, storyline seems a bit forced (like the mum's past, what was the need of involving her as well. i just don't like it). i saw the ratings, read a couple of reviews and decided to give it a go but i'm absolutely disappointed. i was expecting much better. i'm going to finish it just for the sake of it tho

yes, i do feel like the story is progressing very slowly and i wonder they can make it in 8 episodes ?
omg I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that :(( I like the drama but I wish it was more fast paced. it's also pretty weird for an 8 episodes long drama to be this slow... idk I just hope they are able to give a satisfactory ending

this is very good but does anyone else feel like the story is progressing very very slowly? and it's only 8 episodes long, so it's not like they have plenty of screentime. i haven't watched any other version of the original tv show

Title The Veil Spoiler
ok thank God I'm not the only who found ep 4 a little off and out of place. maybe it would have made more sense…
mmh yes, what you said makes sense. it's just that it feels kind of unrealistic for a teen to be able to do all that alone (yeah minus the hacking, in case he got help from someone else). and it's just about the whole ep 4 feeling a bit off and kinda interrupting the flow of the other 3, which were kinda following a pretty coherent path.
