11 episodes in and all I want for Saikhim is to leave. I want her to fake her death or cover up her tracks so no one is able to find her. She wires some of her money into a secret account and buys a house somewhere beautiful. Makes some good friends that actually have her back.
I would even take a memory loss, she leaves and forgets everyone and somehow ends up on a small island. She's taken in by a really nice elderly couple and she spends her life there. They love and support her unconditionally.
The final scene of the show is just her walking along a beautiful path with beautiful scenery.
Maybe Jie Li is a daughter as well, maybe there were twins and one had a heavenly essence while the other had…
Gosh I hope so, the idea that Jie Li and Dan Yin's mother being the same person is kind of upsetting. I feel like they set up a ship JL and to turn around, and say she actually had fallen in love before and they have a kid together is a slap in the face.
Can someone explain to me what and who The Goddess of Xishan is? I know XLH is her but I don't really understand the background and importance of The Goddess of Xishan.
I am loving this badass version of He Zhou Jun. Death in a family will change you as a person and this person…
I seriously loved the moment where the guy was like. "I won't let you off even as a ghost!" and she responds, "okay, if you're a ghost my father and brothers will kill you once again". I loved that she refused to cower.
Also, her telling the guy the emperor originally planned to leave his corpse whole and she told him that she personally submitted for his dismemberment. What a stark difference to the noble lady that appeared just 10 episodes before.
Yeahhhh same but just a wild guess maybe this is connected to BuYi, you know maybe she also wanted at that time…
No, Yangyang remains good to SS from what I know.
Apparently there was a moment where yangyang's father asks if he should bring back her mother and she says no, they can't bring her back after what she did to SS.
LOL I remember the bonus ending confusing me so much. The online versions always include it and I was not done being upset with BZH. I needed to see him suffer a bit more before accepting the epilogue.
I'm just waiting for the parents to realize that part of SS's pragmatic approach to love and marriage is built upon the fact that she has never felt love nor knows how to love.
I agree but YY doesn't though. The mother is willing to give good things to SS and to YY but in terms of punishments…
I don't know whether or not the mother daughter pair will reconnect with each in the future. I know a lot of drama will try to give mother-daughter situations like this a happy ending but truthfully the two will have to overcome a huge hurdle. The mom is so prejudice against SS right now and SS doesn't want to trust or rely on her.
I feel like the mom thinks SS enjoys creating trouble, but doesn't fully understand that those characteristics are the result of having to defend herself since a young age. She just doesn't see the good in SS and is hyper focusing on the bad.
In a dynamic like theirs, one or the other has to compromise a bit but neither will back down. Like in episode 10 where SS is punished. I think the sons would have been able to get out of the situation. The sons would admit to being wrong because their confident their mom loves them and they're secured enough in that relationship to do so. SS doesn't feel that sense of trust, so she would rather dig her heels in her own convictions than bow down.
I think that spending more time with LY would teach CSS something, not exactly clear on what that exactly is.…
Yeah, I agree. I was watching an analysis of her character and it talked about why she chose LY. The analyzer went into depth about how she doesn't love LY but she wanted to seize the opportunity. He was someone she could handle, and she could foresee a simple future with him. She wasn't even remotely worried about whether she would love him, she figured over time they would develop some sort of care for each other. She definitely doesn't love him romantically but it's a safe option and all she wants is security.

But I'm not sure she's aware that LBY likes her.
In her mind, someone who is kind and treats her well has come and proposed to her. She said it herself, she doesn't know if she'll get another opportunity once she misses this one. All she knows is, as someone who isn't lucky, she must seize her chances while they're there.
There's no reason for her to take a risk to wait for someone better, she doesn't have much and it's better to settle then risk it all for the unknown.
I think it's a reminder to the MC (and possibly to the audience) that SS's life isn't lucky, that she needs to fight tooth and nail to get things that might come naturally to people.
Edit… nvm…. Wow what a choice
