I don't think it had a bad ending. I think many fans of a certain storyline might be disappointed it did not have a last minute happy ending out of the blue and I am not being facetious, it is a valid opinion. But the main storyline had a satisfying ending to me. This show from episodes 1 to 11 was about two people and in episodes 12-14 they still got sweet scenes and, in episode 13, a major development in their relationship. I bet most fans are very happy. It's just that people go online to complain a lot more often and with a lot more gusto than they pay compliments.

Yes. No English subtitles have been released yet. A lot of people haven't watched. You are literally spoiling the ending.

Many times actors that play love interests hate each other. I'm not saying this is the case here, but actors act. I'd love to see them together again, but I'd be surprised. I don't know what exactly happened, but the fact that Saint doesn't / can't go to certain events, that he wasn't in the new scenes shot for product placement and that the announced second season was cancelled make me think whatever the fallout was, it was serious.

Tincan started their relationship in episode 11. And never really dated. So, I'm thinking it's unfair to compare them to AePete. This show had a second season announced before behind the scenes derail it, so I guess that is why TinCan was left open-ended. Not ideal. But, honestly, given Can never seem to really like Tin the way Tin liked him and mostly exchanged kisses for gifts or food, or only wanted to watch a film with Tin because of a big TV, I kind of think Tin was better off without him, at least for now. But I get that TinCan was promoted as a much bigger deal than they were and I can see why people would be upset.

I call Pete's father blackmailing Ae to break them apart the biggest second season Bl cliché there is. Family breaks couple apart. And they don't tell the truth to each other and just break up. For three years. That's how the novels go. I prefered this ending for AePete instead.

After Tin crying they have the scene where AePete video-chat and they imagine each other on the beach. Ae sings the series theme song to Pete. Then they remember all the steps of their romance and it ends in fireworks.

To be fair, this show had a season 2 announced and that was probably why they added an extra episode to set it up. But recent managers dispute and fans creating chaos online torpedoed that. Also, keep in mind this was based on novels and the director isn't the writer of a series or the sole decider of what happens. His job is to shoot the scripts he is given.

I understand. Your username is literally TinCan. I can imagine that ending was not what you had in mind. You have the right to feel like you do. :)

The AePete scenes are cute. You get Ae singing the theme song to Pete on the phone, but he imagines Pete by his side, so you see the actors together. But nothing really changes for them. The birthday scene was also a fitting ending.

To my understanding, legal or illegal, the only existing translations of the novels only describe the sex scenes and they are not very good translations. Don't ask me how I know this.

Fair. I ignore the last episode of Star Trek: Enterprise and season 6 and 7 of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer ever happened.

He had just realised he had lost his virginity to rape, by his little brother's best friend, a high schooler. I wouldn't say he not stopping him was consent or simply the face he was paralysed in shock. His face was of disgust. Not pleasure.

Yes. People do it. But, technically, it would be illegal.

Not sure rape was a happy ending. Techno seemed not to have enjoyed it at all.

Yes. Techno is very drunk and basically passed out. The extended cut shows Kengkla turn him around and, under the sheets, clearly penetrate him. In the morning Techno is shocked and disgusted, having cold sweats and looking very uncomfortable and complaining of pain. The Kengkla tries to touch him inappropriately again.

I don't think Can ever demonstrated to be deserving of Tin, so I think a happy ending out of the blue might have been worse. I loved Tin character arc and I wasn't particularly sad about that. I mean, to be fair, their relationship started on episode 11, this was episode 14 and everyone is acting like this is a much bigger deal than it was. However, I absolutely admit that is my personal view and I very much can see how others might disagree, because they did promote the couple a lot more than they should have. They sold this as a four-couple BL when it was, for 11 episodes, the AePete series.
