zhou yu tong looks way too good here (with the long hair and everything) but the way this drama is so over the top is the very thing i stand against when watching drama/movie T.T
The MDL rating for this drama had me nervous before I started because I didn't know what to expect. However, as…
mdl have a habit of giving low score for unconventional story telling (heck this one isnt even that unconventional just a bit confusing at the beginning)
Took me quite some time (around the middle of the story) to realize that this story wasn't trying to compare which choice is better or worse, because theres no right or wrong answer to begin with. I feel like what this story trying to say is that choice and regret come hand in hand but whats more important is how we face it forward. Ultimately i think its trying to remind us that no matter how good or bad the result might have seems, in the end theres no path without struggle and pain, each with a set of its own and even if you could wind back the time you would just come across a different obstacle.
All that being said, i gotta admit i enjoyed the shanghai storyline better since i think the other story kinda fumbled a bit at executing the plot, like how some characters action feels too forced just for the sake of progressing the plot. Also i gotta say i cant stand yu jian's mom but i guess its a testament to how accurate they write an uneducated narrow minded old boomer character.
had to drag my ass up to ep5 before dropping this as nothing really put me off but neither really hook me, just plain uninteresting. they tried so hard not to be sterotypical but end up being so predictable all the same.
Just some final words on this awesome drama. Love to see our friendly neighborhood angel still alive. I also appreciate…
veah really glad they didnt force him to be the morally right guy until the end. really enjoying how both character walk toward each other on the moral spectrun
