I really appreciate Jin Yan, she pour her heart out for this character. The way she express her emotions toward her husband when playing the qin, her sadness, sorrow, betrayals make me cry. This scene was beautifully portrayed.
I think it's the imagery where the performance is so compelling, it convey the whole story to the audience.
Well it's like a visual imagery where everyone feels the same emotion upon listening to her song and message that she tried to covey to the audience. Just like Rouyao's butterfly effect.
Shen Yu Rong is losing it. But I appreciate that for once, we are not dealing with a husband who hated his wife…
Throughout the drama, whenever he sees her, it feels like he's about to burst out but try so hard to suppress them. He's sadness, and deep yearning for her. Every little things Jiang Li does reminds him of his ex-wife. (He knew she's her). The actor portray this feeling very well.
She and her mother are the worst. So are Shen mom & sis
Forreal, I just hate all of the blaming. "Mother forced me to", "I had no choice." WHERE ARE YOUR MORALS? KILLING SOMEONE AND TAINT THEIR REPUTATION IS NOT SOME CHILD PLAY WHERE YOU CAN JUST SAY SORRY AND IT'S OVER. HATE THESE TYPE OF ARROGANT ASS CHEEKS. >:((
As a woman yourself, no matter how evil you are, know that reputation is everything to a woman. Still try to taint it is despicable and prove that you're just that low of a person. Truly evil. If the 3rd sister is in on it as well then my last ounce of respect for her is gone.
Knew the ex-husband would be the deciding vote for the qin contest. I wonder if she will consider not going after…
That's why she want to meet the emperor and investigate the person behind the ex-husband because she knows someone was threaten him from behind. Though, it doesn't excuse all the sht that he did, so she still loath him.
The only reason I never watched Yanxi Palace is I absolutely loathe harem dramas. But WJY performance here is…
Tbh, same. The story of Yanxi Palace isn't my cup of tea since I'm more towards the romance genre. The only reason why I watch this drama was because I've seen FMV about Fu Heng and Wei Ying Luo so I decided to watch it for them AND GOT HOOKED. It's crazy.
It's kinda funny with the duality between male actors and actresses. Everyone is praising Xing Yue for portraying the role of a cold Duke perfectly (he is) while saying Wu Jin Yan's beauty doesn't match the character of Jang Li.
There's a reason why she's been chosen for the role, and she's a perfect candidate for it. For those who don't know, Wu Jin Yan play Wei Ying Luo in The Story of Yanxi Palace. This character is portrayed as smart, strong, fierce, ruthless, arrogrant, loyal and capable of destruction. She enter the palace as a servant for a purpose and win favors along the way by outwitting her enemies.
Β· This drama gain massive popularity in both China and internationally. It was streamed more than 15 billion times, became the most watched online for 39 consecutive days. Β· It was distrubuted in more than 70 markets worldwide, especially in Asia. Β· The series won numerous award, around 35 wins and 5 nominations.
This clearly prove that she can portray this type of character. She also plays similar roles like The Legend of Hao Lan and Royal Feast-ish. With this background, the role of Jang Li screams her name.
Wu Jin Yan is one of the most beautiful actress in the Chinese industry imo. Her beauty is unique and distinguished among other actresses. Mind you, she's already 33 in this drama BUT doesn't even look remotely close to her age.
Please give my girl the credits she deserves. If you watch the BTS scenes, she work really hard to pull off Jiang Li to satisfy the audience's high expectation. Sorry for the long post, I'm just tired of everyone downgrading her without being familiar with any of her works.
Wu Jin Yan plays an ok XFF. XFF is supposed to be an parallel beauty and talented scholar of her time. WJY just…
Heh, I think this role is screaming Jin Yan for me, she's breathing life into it. Jin Yan always does best when it comes to strong, witty, and smart woman. It's literally Wei Ying Luo 2.0 and no one's perfect for the role than her. Jin Yan also has the beauty like no other. She's unique and natural. She gives off the elegant vibe and every slow motion shot just captures her beauty perfectly. Whether it be her features or skills, she pulls off both and brings the character to life.
It would be such a blessing if any novel readers can summarize the MLs love story. I would love to learn how their love blossom through revenge. The details on their love, interactions, his jealousy, etc. The wait here is too painful ππ, IM CRAVING.
