Many factors can delay a good costume drama such as scensorships, high production, and main leads stay free from being black listed.

I really appreciate Jin Yan, she pour her heart out for this character. The way she express her emotions toward her husband when playing the qin, her sadness, sorrow, betrayals make me cry. This scene was beautifully portrayed.

Well it's like a visual imagery where everyone feels the same emotion upon listening to her song and message that she tried to covey to the audience. Just like Rouyao's butterfly effect.

Throughout the drama, whenever he sees her, it feels like he's about to burst out but try so hard to suppress them. He's sadness, and deep yearning for her. Every little things Jiang Li does reminds him of his ex-wife. (He knew she's her). The actor portray this feeling very well.

I think it's the imagery where the performance is so compelling, it convey the whole story to the audience.
