actually these are all speculations on the drama with some fact that are happening in china added (cencorship, campaign delays etc)thats why i was using probably and imo, 2018 was the dramas targeted airdate first right? it was even plastered on the trailer.. as for the numbers of episode update, around late 2019 the board implement and suggested to limit the episode of dramas to somewhat around 40-50ish, as for the XZ/reshoot scenes, as i have stated before this drama did not have any news or gossip or confirmed news having reshoots on weibo etc.(not that ive known or read myself at least) but since the commenter above said reshoots all i can think about is the rumored reshoots and additional scenes for XZ after his rise to popularity but imo thats even not confirmed as this drama literally has no official announcement.. these speculations itself can be trace on this comment board with some added infos like weibo links etc. if you skim around those dates like ive said around mid 2019 cuz theres also gossip going around that time like airdates etc..

i agree that it does indeed happen but imo its only rarely and is less common, and XZ and XK are somewhat kinda busy nowadays playing lead roles specially XZ..

the drama was supposedly will air in 2018 but not entirely sure why it got postponed that time, after that the board increase the cencorship iirc but this drama imo did not do reshoot that time, just excellent editing and trimming, iirc this drama also got buzz around early to mid 2019 just like these days cuz it already got green lighted by the board that time dunno why some says it only got green lighted by the board early this year when some of those people who are talking about it before on the comments are also like the same people.. also around mid 2019 theres like buzz that due to a campaign in china no costume drama will air for several months specially on tv broadcasts, thats also probably why this drama got pushed even more, also because of that the production eventually decided to add XZ some extra scenes cux of his sudden rise, a few weeks of additional shoots etc.etc(not entirely sure also but some even speculated that XZ will end up with the FL due to those additional scenes and his sudden rise), as for those saying it got green lighted by the board in January uhhm my only thoughts on that probably they need the board to review it again after the additional scenes that they add or because of the episode limit that the board implemented. but for sure for those who are in this board like since the start or even mid 2019 can confirm that theres like some buzz of this drama airing that time

Xu Kai and XZ are too expensive and too mainstream for that role already, the only reason they got XZ in the first place is they cast him prior to his rise, also that gives him a chance to return for the 2nd season, but its highly unlikely.. lower your expectations to play that role to at most those who play 2nd MLs tops,

for those asking cencorship delay, no, yeah cencorship did delay it a bit last year, but even newer announce costume dramas have aired already so... for those blaming cencorship. imo its not the primary reason. my advice just wait for this drama patiently, dont assume airing dates that have not been confirmed and complain after, cuz your just assuming those dates, this drama for an unknown reason have no specific airing date till now, the latest news for this that seems official is that it will air 2020, on what date that i dont know...

well i guess another simple low budget web drama.. haha imo 2020 has been a disappointment for high budget cdramas..specially costume dramas.. i think only Eternal Love of Dreams did great for this year.. the other high budget costume drmas kinda failed.. while these low budget around 20-30 episodes are kinda surpassed expectations.. probably cuz their is none to begin with..

i love Yukee, was disappointed in her last drama TLLTM cuz Alan Yu's acting was hella bad and kinda stone faced.. hope this one is better, although Leo and Alan has like the same vibes.. im much more confident in Leo's acting than Alan,,,

legend of fei imo, late 2020 or early 2021, that is without delay..

its the classic move from directors and writers, change some parts of the story but give an ambiguous ending, probably to not alienate the fans of the novel, but imo since they already change some parts why not gave them e really happy ending rather than a happy but also unsatisfactory one... first i hate this drama cuz its kinda useless, but since i like the Main Leads i was just sticking with it just because. 2nd is really was hoping for a satisfactory ending but... yeah its kinda happy but also kinda not so.. all in all this series kinda disappoints me..both in narrative as well as the ending, dramas like this, one who has a shallow plot and a lot of dragging (example Here to Heart also failed to give a satisfactory ending) a decent example would be (all out of love) the plot is simple a lot of dragging also a shitty drama but at least the last 10 or so episodes are like the 30 mins of most dramas, in which nothing really happens it just shows the life of the OTP in a married life and gives closure to every story and character.. with all these useless dragging i wouldn't complain if they at least gave as a few episodes or even 1 ep of Weilong and LinYun being together at the end

the ending is fixed to be like that imo, even if they cut some parts, why? even if you cut some parts midway the ending is one scene that can be added no matter what, unless it involves death of one character and this drama is shot years back, meaning this is the original scene that they have in mind. and the episode limit on dramas have been implemented months already.

the ML are around the same age group, around early 20s, the 2nd FL is like their sister around 30 (still doable) and the 2nd ML is their uncle lmao (mid 40's)..
