lmao all the characters are TOXIC...and Peter's character.... GOD he looks way too old, he woudlve fit more better if at least the leads are at least near his age bracket.. both the leads are way too young and Peter is in his mid 40's, i mean his character looks too old but at least if he acts like a mature individual, probably can overlook that, BUT his character is violent, annoying and possessive to the point of being unreasonable...

for those wanting a story about DengLun and YangZi character, i mean Ashes of Love S1 ended so beautifully that you wanted them back for season 2? lmao if they did that they will need to undergo some sort of convoluted plot lines that involve, dying rebirth, memory lost, force separation, etc. etc.. bottom line is they will be force to break up again,, lmao I mean what kind of logic is that, you guys wanna butchered a perfectly ended story with your nonsensical logic.. let their story end and move on.. Unless its a drama slated for multiple seasons then its a go but if not at least enjoy the brief time that this sequel is still in the same universe or somewhat related to our beloved characters already..

i agree to this, people who write reviews after watching 3-4 episodes is full of crap imo, unless they state that they didnt finish it, imo MDL should limit final reviews on people who watched all of the episodes, and seperate those reviews that is either dropped or ongoing on the review tab. add to that i would like them to prioritize a per episode rating than an overall rating, and used those per episode rating get the average and used that as the final review ratings of people who review it, lmao people who watch 1 episode and say that no character development or plot is draggy is the worst, if they want 1 episode plot twist they need to watch a movie..

the writing and execution,,,,, its laughable to the point that it doesnt make sense sometimes, ive watch most cdramaa that are wuxia or xinxia, dramas that involve super powers, gods, demons, immortals, or what not, BUT this one at most is enjoyable if you dont mind all the silliness and plot holes, one moment the ML is so strong, he can defend his whole city single handedly and also go toe to toe with a supreme black dragon, next scenes he lost to some village chief without even trying and goes into a depression, after i saw that episode i just went, okeyyy?? is this where an 8 rating start dropping, i literally was like, well all logics out of the drain now lmao, might as well just watch it lol..

not entirely sure if the cast has penned for 3 seasons tho, most cdramas nowadays like JOL,Evernight etc. are announce to have a specific # of seasons yes, but the Actors themselves mostly have only inked their contracts for that specific season, same reasons why some actors are being replace/change in some series.. and im not literally pointing out to what his specific fees in that series, because that was shot prior to his rise to stardom, just the logic behind it you know, like for example having a supporting character have the same fees as the leads.. that seems kinda meh and i havent seen that kind of casting iirc.. just some thoughts ya know..

uhmm not to be rude, cuz im not a fan of Darren nor XZ specifically, but the point that you always used XZ , as the core reason why this drama is airing is kinda meh. honestly... and for the Darrens fans imo they are not butthurt but kinda offended by those not real fans as you have stated that they seem like push, Darren as the lead away already, cuz after the untamed as i was reading articles about JOL and other related articles, i was also kinda turned off by some of his fans, and based on your tone cuz ive been on this thread since like it has probably less than 10 comments. your a XZ biased, not that im against that, but also you fail to realize that XZ fans is still seen as a singular fandom as a whole in the eyes of a regular individual ( those not truly following XZ or heavily involved in his fandom), be it crazy hard core fans/true fans or even fake fans.. lets say you have 1 million true fans like you keep using but ratio to that is also 1million crazy hardcore fans that also wants him to take the majority of the screen.. ofc majority of his fans can still garner heavy audience be it in whatever kind of ratio but still it doesnt change the fact that sometimes he is not the center of everyones perspective and for those individuals its kinda off putting..

haters are present in every fandom thats a fact, its the other side of the coin for being popular.. and YBY as a character to me is kinda changeable in terms of whos playing it, why? in S1 he has very limited screen time that its obvious that he has a more prominent role come S2, thats a given, lets say they change the actor for the emperor or chen ping ping, hmm that drastically change does it not? compared that to YBY as he has not cemented his character arc yet. the character is important yes but since its story arc has not been told yet imo the actor is replaceable, not that i dont like XZ as i have said, its just XZ is so popular right now that his talent fees would equal to the leads and inorder to used that they ofc need to utilize him more, thus probably affecting the story a bit. these are paid actor with talent agencies, no matter what XZ fees wouldve double,triple or even 4x by now. and as i have said if his management company would agree that he is still a supporting character with an important role and would be fine with a subpar talent fee for playing that role still im fine with him playing YBY in the S2.. XZ as an actor is so popular atm that for sure his company would utilize him as a milking cow, and what way would be best than him playing lead roles for all of his upcoming series no? him playing a supporting role imo is highly unlikely without a script change at least that would put him having the same lines as the leads, as for the promotion of him in S1, the series just tried to used him as the untamed shot him to stardom but the fact that S1 is already filmed and is already done is aneasy hack for the production crew, (same with the wolf )they can used him as a promotion but his fees and scenes are already done, but for the upcoming projects, thats a totally new story, as fees and talent costs have not been negotiated with, im not looking at it as a fan of the drama or XZ but as a part of XZ management , cuz clearly they would not waste a drama filming slot of at least 6months for their top earner atm for a supporting role.. also probably the same reason as YBY/XZ as the actor has not yet been confirmed in S2 although the character itself has significantly more lines and more prominent character ..,it seems highly unlikely to me atm that hell be back for his role as a supporting character,

iirc when the Joy of Life is being broadcasted, ive read some comments of XZ fans on weibo and also on some streaming sites being disappointed with his role, lmao I keep scratching my head, literally like every 3 or so episodes they where like when will xiao zhans character be back? his character was very minor to the point the drama is still great without him, after its airing date i literally was afraid of the future of that series as speculations that the season 2 will have like 50(Rou Yun)-25(XZ)-25(other characters) proportions, cuz they want to increase XZ role, JOL season 1 has like 60-70% centered on Rou Yun, i was afraid that they would butchered the series like Ever night 2 did by making XZ role more prominent, to the point that I would be fine not for XZ to return for S2, his character has a minor part in season 1 anyways. if they dont alter the story and his company does not demand anything and his fans is also fine with him having a supporting role, im fine with him returning, I like the guy but not only his haters but also his fans are somewhat unreasonable sometimes, I love the drama as a whole and watch them cuz i like it not because of some actors in it. The Wolf got me curios after I read its draft synopsis, after the trailers released in 2017 in piqued my interest to the point that I want to watch it asap.. but after the untamed and XZ rise to popularity, some of his fans said that this drama wouldve been better if he is the lead.. i mean cmon this drama didnt even air yet your discrediting the ML already.. if they said that to Oh my Emperor or some other drama that have aired already and that the 2nd lead is better then for sure i wouldve agreed..

imo Darrens fans have nothing to do with Xiao Zhans fans publicizing the drama, the problem is some fans (not all, probably just the crazy ones) want Xiao Zhan to have the Leading Role, which is absurd, this upsets some to the point that it seems unfair to some of those who is involved in the said project, also this line, "They should be grateful he is popular and the drama can see the light, in my opinion", i mean why would you even state that this drama will air cuz of his popularity? clearly this drama has issues involving the corporate side as this drama is first an exclusive to a single network now most networks have broadcasts rights, which means the first deal fell through, a lot of popular actors work doesnt air because corporate dealings have not agreed on a middle ground, be it the current actor is popular now or before. the actor being popular boosts its potential viewers, but the drama being broadcasts is still totally dependent if those corporate dealings finally made a deal that all sides, at least have agreed in

iirc its the companies choice to change the actor in evernight to promote dylan and also they think hes the next big thing, and to compensate for that they offered Arthur this drama instead,

actually they do imo, they finish filming in August but the air date is late June of next year, thats plenty of time, and if they did intend to kill her character they could just simply shorten her appearance, its a matter of smart sequencing and editing, its just bizarre for a production to announce a supposedly Female lead but in the end the character is more likely just a supporting type. the production company at first during the promotion announce that shes the FL, and given that BL romances is prohibited, adaptations goes either Bromance or Bromance with a BG romance, why would production announce that their drama has a FL lead if they wont go with the Bromance with BG route? and the untamed is a loose adaptation which means its not supposedly a true to the core adaptation, and if iirc to compensate for the BL romance the production looked for a potential love interest, but soon after fans of the Novel staged a protest and even declared themselves antis for life of Zoeys and also will boycott the adaptation, they dont want any female having romance with the leads and that she paid to be the love interest in this adaptation, it got so bad that Zoey went off grid,, the production also removed all promotion and photos of her character on the official site, if they don't plan to make her character significant before the controversy why then would they announce a FL. also iirc Wang Yi bo has like 80+ total scenes and Zoey character was supposedly have 60+, did she have 60+??

at first her appearance and at least role was supposedly has some decent impact and length, but the people hated her a lot cuz of some controversy and even demanded that she step down on this project, but since it was announce that shes a supposedly female lead they just went and cut her role significantly she also lost a lot of projects

they dont buy broadcasting rights, they look for broadcasting companies willing to air and buy the rights to air their dramas, if they dont have that they have no platform to release their drama.. its either the production company and sponsors are asking too much money thats why this dramas keeps being delayed or they just cant find a middle ground to agree on its not like they are doing dramas or films for charity, a lot of corporate dealing are required in the background and most likely its also the reason why some dramas eventually gets cancelled

uhmm the wolf started gossiping around 2016 during Darrens popularity imo, and was finally announced in 2017 and XZ at that time was only participating in XFire, as an actor XZ was in Oh My Emperor and hes like should have played the lead cuz Jason was pretty stiff in that, but as you have stated your clearly being too far fetched for linking this drama and was a way for them to gain fans as you have said, XZ grew up in popularity in 2019 this drama is done filming in 2017, imo this drama has internal problems, be it production side, sponsors or the staffs.. but clearly not on the actors, unless talent fees are in question.. imo probably the production cant find a broadcasting station up to their liking, cuz this drama keeps moving stations iirc

iirc they upload them based in broadcast dates like the usual dramas, if its set for release 3x a week then theyll put up 3 episodes also same goes if its 4x or 5x a week, the english subs varies tho, if its set to have an english sub probably a day of delay or so if its not set to have an english subs uhhm a little bit of waiting is needed but imo CDRAMAS are finally getting recognition nowadays except for some low to medium budget size webdramas the usual big production is set to have an eng subs..
