Yea, there's 2 endings in ep28, the first one ends when Si Teng transformed back to Rattan. Then there's an alternative ending where after a time jump of 5 years, QF is still searching for Si Teng, making effort to transform her back to human form, but i seriously dunno where is this going to go.

The last ep is not out yet, can't tell if its a good ending ornot. But the last few episodes were heart-breaking, i would recommend to watch the last 8 episodes in 1 go. I mean its interesting, but also heartbreaking at the same time if you get what i mean

Title Rattan Spoiler
Just watched up to ep 26. I have questions:- how come QF ancestor can suddeny become a man from a tree?- if he…
my understanding:
-when Qiu Shan transformed Si Teng, i assume the power was so strong that even the tree got transformed to a man
-QF only has 1/6 bloodline of a tree, very very minimal
-this one idk, BY is pretty smart i guess? Based on her amazing forward-planning skills to revived her own and ST hahaha

5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH [Rattan]
No spoilers version:

1. The plot is interesting. This is a non-typical modern fantasy plot, the FL is basically a non-human with alien bloodline, she has superpowers and has just woken up after a 81-year coma. This story circles around Si Teng (FL) trying to adjust to this world after waking up and investigating who killed her many years ago. Hence its not your typical lovey-dovey love story, there's mystery and suspense element.

2. Visuals. Both Zhang Bin Bin & Jing Tian are top visuals, seeing them together in a drama is eye candy, not to mention the pretty clothes that adds to the topping. I would say both their acting are pretty good here too, the characters (especially the FL) is not an easy character to portray and they hold it well. Chemistry on point too.

3. You get to see a strong female lead (which is super rare in Cdramaland). Si Teng (FL) is a smart, mature and graceful character, she knows what she's doing and when she has made up her mind, nothing is going to stop her. More details would lead to spoilers, go see for yourself!

4. Absolutely beautiful sceneries shots. I heard that the director is a pro in capturing beautiful scenic pictures and its true. Many long-wide shots are used in story-telling. They really went to the mountains, historical sites to film for the story. Instead of modern fancy hotels, in the story, the FL and ML are always staying at really beautiful old houses-turned airbnb, its like those traditional houses from the previous century refurnished, really authentic.

5. Si Teng (FL)'s outfit. Si Teng died/fell into coma around 1930-1940's, hence her wardrobe are mostly clothes from that era, elegant, graceful and on-point. Each outfit is detailed & it comes full-set together with matching accessories, hairstyles & makeup.

Ahhh right not the same college, but i think its another college that shared the same campus with him. Yes love the best friends, they really supported each other on their goals, really true definition of healthy friendship. I think the family also felt relieved that both the ML and FL found each other, cuz TBH both the families are not able to give so much attention to them and they do feel bad (hence giving them alot of pocket money), but from the point they found each other, they had been very supportive of each other and achieve goals, getting better grades, overcoming social anxiety, these are stuffs that most likely won't be overcome that easily if they didn't found each other. I think both the families realized this and I don't think they would have any reason to object this relationship, i literally don't see any negative impact out of this.

Yes Wan Peng is such versatile, rooting for her to go big, she’s got potential! I think he puts her in the first priority rather than a lifeline, maybe a lifeline before but he got much better when they got to college. I would say some parts were a little creepy if you wanna go into the deep details. But the FL is ok with like staying together with the ML and having plans to be together for long-term. I really like how they needed each other, rmb that they both were quite ignored as a kid (parents busy/divorced) and luckily they found each other that could them much more support and attention through life. Best part of the drama is the ML making a PPT to present to the mom on how to get FL into the same college as him ??

Yeah I think this is a 'complete' romantic drama, from high school to being entrepreneurs. It's very satisfying…
Yea, really like how the plot shows the struggles the couple faced

Did anyone else get Le coup de foudre vibes when watching the main couple? The relationship themes are very similar,…
Not really tho, Le Coup de foundre the ML was kinda cold & talked less (don't get me in the wrong way, this is my 10/10 drama), this ML was more talkative and i would say down-to-earth vibe? Zheng Han looks and acts more like a normal school guy in comparison with Yan Mo, Yan Mo's personality is abit special and Qiao Yi is his best fit.

SUCH A WELL WRITTEN ARTICLE *APPLAUSE LOUDLY*
This is the first drama that I completed in 2021, it was seriously (still is) a wonderful drama. And yes, especially highlighting the healthy relationship. They supported and relied on each other throughout their journey from a student all the way to become entrepreneurs (the journey really wasn't easy). It's such a good drama and I was kinda sad that not much people watched it because the leads are not famous. But then I'm also glad that they casted the right people for the characters!

Not sure if you know this other Cdrama that I would say also portrays healthy relationship, the leads supported each other since the day they re-met (were childhood friends, meet again during high school). Drama name: Meeting You

Wow you really know how to spoil a drama for someone. Though your not wrong ? just that your choice of words are…
Other spoilers if you're interested:
- The FL herself is a huge liar, she accepted this "job" to marry the ML in place of this rich lady to earn money for her mother's medical bills. She's a part-time house keeper, but I don't like her attitude, she's later to work in ep1, and while cleaning the rich lady's house, she tried on her clothes which is very inappropriate.
- The ML has a female "best friend" from university days and is currently also working in the ML's company. This colleague very explicitly hinted to ML many times that she likes him, the ML, obviously knowing this does not reject her, even after he got married to the FL.
-This second FL is also the one that got kidnapped previously by the bad guy, and then worked together with the bad guy to kidnap the FL, towards the end, this second FL became a maniac and in return tortured the bad guy kidnapper. Like, I'm okay if you wanna chase the man you like, but everything she does is not merely jealousy, it went up to murder and its scary.
- There's this another nurse that takes care of the ML's wheelchair-bound younger sister, she's evil too. She likes the ML, and pushed the FL down the stairs once, tried the same thing to the sister. The sister is not actually paralyze, she just need encouragement to stand back up again after her accident, the FL and doctor kept encouraging her whereas this 24/7 home nurse kept discouraging her.
-Here's the exciting part, the FL was pregnant (found out she was pregnant too) the night before she was kidnapped, she is trying to hide it from the ML. The second FL knew this and still worked together with the bad guy to kidnap her. After she was rescued and released from the hospital, the FL refused to have her body checked because she didn't want the ML to know that she was pregnant. And then she was brought back to the nasty environment right after discharged.
-Let's not forgot the original rich lady that was supposed to marry the ML, she regretted her choice and now she's sticking around to get back the ML after the ML & FL were married.
-Basically, almost every female character in this lakorn is trying to kill the FL, or at least embarrass her (i.e. making her wedding dress slipped during her wedding ceremony,) , and rmb the FL did all this to get money for her mom's medical bills? FL and the mom went out for lunch, bumped into the ML, and they had to pretend that the mom was a long-time family maid. In the end, the mom got so sick and died, with the FL stuck in tragedies mentioned above and not even being able to see her mom for the last time.

So after all these real spoilers, can you understand how frustrated I was? Do you get how wrong this lakorn is? Can you imagine a 12-year old that watched this lakorn out of curiosity? I personally have friends with PTSD, anxieties, depression etc., what if they clicked into this lakorn without all the warnings? Since the poster is so candy-coated. Haih.

The first part of my paragraph is already a spoiler warning. Anyways, after watching the drama, it really is a very violent drama with violent plots, maybe my choice of words are a little harsh, but then i really don't like how this story is wrapped in a lovey-dovey theme.

Plus, I only spoiled 1 scene, which i would say the biggest PTSD trigger warning. Other parts if you're interested I'll put it in the spoiler comment below.

I'm not going to comment much on what Ji Soo did- I'll leave that to the legal authorities and relevant parties to resolve it.

What I am concerned is some comments in this comment section displaying actions/mindsets of BLAMING THE VICTIM.

Do you blame the Koalas for living in the forest and being too slow to run away from a forest fire? No, you blame the hot weather & other possible fire breakage cause.

Do you blame the passengers of a bus accident for taking that specific bus trip? No, you blame the actual cause of the accident.

Do you blame the sea turtles for being stupid and choke on plastic bags in the ocean? Obviously no.

So now, do you blame the victims of bullying/assault/sexual assault for being a victim? Do you blame rape victims for being "seductive"? No you should not, have you not read news that even newborn babies and chickens were raped, are they being seductive? Hell no. So, no matter at what age, what gender, what social environment, a victim is still no less of a victim. Y'all need to understand that these actions (bullying/assault/sexual assault) by abusers are causing traumas to other people and that should not be called "mistakes'. Breaking an egg, a mistake, slipped and cracked your mom's fav dinner plate, probably still a mistake, but exerting actions with an intention to hurt another being is a crime, and a crime needs to be taken seriously.

I know y'all like to watch dramas, that's why we are here. But please do continue to learn new things in life, READ UP, watch the news, watch educational YouTube videos once in a while, please...

I finished the drama- skipped through most part of it, at this point I'm not even going to put the spoiler tag, I think everyone should know what they'll be expecting if they're planning to watch this lakorn.
Firstly, this is not my first lakorn, there are much more other lakorns that carries the genre well AND not this abusive. This lakorn is just beyond my imagination on how horrible a script could be written, not to mention false marketing in the beginning. For your ease of reading I will put things in point form below.

-The first few episodes were okay, still having some sweet scenes, potential good couple interactions etc. BUT don't get fooled, that's it, you'll be disgusted once you reach the end.
- The ML treats the FL in a very horrible way, and how the FL reacts, this is nonetheless an example of a very toxic relationship, which should not ever be encouraged as kids & teenagers (or even young adults) might be watching this show and think this behaviour is ok!!
- A vast majority of sexual abusive scenes, towards the FL and the second FL, both of them were kidnapped by the bad guy and its just.... I don't even know how to describe it.
-The ML is a huge jerk, not the playboy kinda jerk, but as in a real society trash kinda jerk. The major put-off was how he reacted towards his wife- the FL, after she was rescued from the kidnap incident, HE WAS BLAMING THE VICTIM, AND THE CONTINUES TO GIVE HER IGNORENCE, VERBAL/EMOTIONAL VIOLENCE, and even worse, brought her back to to live in the hut where she was kept during kidnapped RIGHT AFTER she was discharged from the hospital after rescue (huge PTSD trigger). Although the ML said it was to protect her from the hidden bad guy (which at that time they didn't know who, only know that it was someone close to them, in their social circle), it doesn't give him any reason to chain her (what's with lakorns and chaining the FLs, ughhhh).

I give this drama a final 1.5/10 rating. 1 point for for Pie finally obtaining the Lead role in a drama, I really liked her in other dramas. The other 0.5 mark was for the tinny-tiny bit of fragments that caught my eye during the start of the drama, the rest is just trash.

i'm not gonna comment about the ending here, just wanna say Shin Hye Sun deserve an award/awards for her performance in this drama, SHE NAILED HER CHARACTER, wouldn't enjoy the drama so much if it wasn't for her!! Kim Jung Hyun is good too, they both shine!
