I can't describe how awesome this drama is, the cinematography, the script, the actors, everything is flawless!! You gotta watch this, its not bored at all, it has a meaningful script and wonderful presenters, please do give it a try!
EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH THIS! Thanks for the well-written article. This is by far one of the best Cdramas for 2020, one thing that I like is how much the production team focuses and respects the them of the drama - Go. The team hired 2 professional Go players to be on-set advisors for the production, and the drama is under supervision from the original Anime author from Japan and also from China's National Go Society to provide the best accuracy of Go portrayed on screen possible.
Behind-the-scenes reveals that the director picked actors that best fit the characters (long-time Cdrama watchers will understand how rare this is), hence we see each character is well-portrayed with its individualism (kudos to the scriptwriter too for giving depth). All actors and actresses did a great job in their roles too.
Its a drama that will make you laugh and cry together with the characters, we will walk together with ShiGuang to explore different options, struggles, chase dreams and cherish all kinds of relationship in his life. MUST WATCH!
Do the leads end up together and who is the culprit? Can u give a spoiler?
Yes, the leads end up together. The main culprit is Gu Shi Qing (KaiLi Group CEO) , and Xu Zhe (the doctor) is also a bad guy, he's been doing the experiments for years.
After completing this drama, the story is considered complete , no hanging plot, pretty much everything is explained towards the end of the drama. About why the superpower and who is the culprit and how did it all started-- all explained. But then that's it, not much sparks between the leads, the story although complete, is quite predictable and bland. Not the kind of drama that you'll stay up all night to binge watch. I was expecting more from the story plot, but oh wells.
Conclusion: You can watch if you have time and/or if you like the actors/actresses, its not a bad drama, but also not one of those that would top the list, definitely not a must-watch.
How did your Thai drama journey start? - Started watching Full House Thai (this is THE BEST version of full house there is out there), its the perfect RomCom you need to start a new drama genre, must watch!
Do you have any tips for the newcomers? - Yes, read the synopsis, watch the trailer, go for a genre you'd like and make sure you have all the subs out before watching.
Are there any questions for us to settle any of your enquiries? -Nope, good post!
i would add 1 more: Jeon Mi-do in Hospital Playlist (Chae Song-hwa), she is also one of the most perfect & capable female leads I've seen in dramaland.
OMG i didn't realized its you, helloooooooo ~~~ hope you're doing good. Its an overall cute drama, with a quite weird plot but smooth plot. Hope you enjoy~
Both ML and FL have amazing smiles but FL's really takes the cake: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1VkRKumFAcLJQxlnqKuQQW5H6kHIouB4N?usp=sharing.This…
Yes, they look good together, and Himari's smile is so warm and so forgiving, like you would do nothing to hurt this precious smile <3
I don't blame LFN tho, she was a happy teenager until tragedy happened to her beloved sister, it broke her in…
Latest episodes, Ling Rui DID NOT proceed with the divorce, instead, he moved in back to the apartment together as a family of 3.
Fang Ning thought Shi Yi is the current girlfriend (or some sort of shady kinda relationship) of Ling Rui, hence she went to kinda confront (? not sure if this is the right word) but is to brag to her that he still likes her- action out of jealousy. Shi Yi on the other hand has no intention for LR actually (i assume), after she knew LR was at the door eavesdropping, she kinda tease Fang Ning even more and made FN admit that she still likes LR (LR was grinning by the door after hearing that). The conversation is quite funny once you have watched it with subs.

Yes, she always said she has low EQ- even has a love coach (Cai Si Yu) to advise her when she was chasing LR. AND OMG YES, she confessed to LR when she realized she developed feelings for him (that scene was so good too, when LR judged her feelings for not being true, Zhou Yu Tong carried that emotional breakdown scene very well).
EP25-28 are really good, some parts are emotional. Plus points for character development!!

LFN's sister plays a very important role in LFN's life, since her mother passed away quite early, her sister was also a motherly figure to her. LFN is all alone after her sister's death, she became distant with her father, although the step-mom and brother are not evil, but also not truly on her side, she needs to be strong and tough to withstand all the pressure coming in.
I saw it someone that LR's appearance in LFN's life, taught her how to love again, I assume to let go grudge and guilt and be happy, that's why LR is special. Hence 6 years after LFN, after becoming a mom, knows how to love even more- actually echoing the first few episode where she visited the other shareholder that just gave birth, what the shareholder said to her about family and having a child.
Despite the really unnecessary flee-plot, i do see character development in both the main leads, yes they are so cute as a couple, plus LYY, they are SUPER CUTE as a family <3 <3
I really don't like Fang Ning being the one she is now. She has changed so much in these 6 years. I'm not convinced…
I don't blame LFN tho, she was a happy teenager until tragedy happened to her beloved sister, it broke her in and out. But then as a rich & reputable family, after her sister's death, she is next in line to be the CEO of the company, in replacement of her sister's place. Hence again, to do that, she needs to cover her scars and wounds to protect herself, to not let competitors use it as a weapon against her (exactly what Gao ErFan did). She is bossy and strong at the start of the show cuz that's her armor. After she let LR into her life, and they fell in love, we as audience together with LR get to see the soft and fragile side of LFN, who she really is inside. LR acknowledges that and always be sure he is there for her (explains why he couldn't leave her for Germany 6 years ago when her family went bankrupt), LR became an umbrella that LFN didn't know she needed and could ever have one in her life.
Although i'm not a big fan of running away pregnant and secretly giving birth cliché. But as LFN's defense, she finally opened up to LR and just started to enjoy the joy of being in a romantic/intimate relationship, Gao Er Fan came in as a villain to blame and remind her that she is not worthy of happiness (although the accident was not her fault), LFN had been carrying this guilt for 10 years, it is a guilt and also a motivation for her to keep moving in life. GEF incident broke LFN once again, and this time to prevent herself from ruining somebody else's life (in her perspective), she does not want to be the obstacle for LR to achieve something he has always wanted- to further his studies in Germany. Again, they could have easily just went to study abroad together since she is no longer CEO *eyerolls*. Anyway, in LFN's mind, the best way is to let go, disappear and sponsor him so that he could be successful and achieve his dream and goal in life.
This is my interpretation of the plot and characters, LFN actually suffers from PTSD from her sister's death (nightmares & flashbacks). But i really do like how 6 years have past and LR became a better version of himself, LFN founded another furniture company, and LYY- the star of the show!
