Well first ep took a direction I was not expecting. But yeah, good acting (natural, and with some real kisses too!), decent writing, and interesting plot. (Also, I just gotta say that the acting coach is soooo pretty).
Loved this just as much as part 1. Just wish we didn't have to wait what's probably another year for part 3. :(
Maybe we’ll get lucky. I watch another Netflix drama, Elite, and although there was a year between seasons 1 and 2, there was only like 6 months between Season 2 and 3, which surprised me. So maybe they’ll surprise us with Kingdom like that haha
Not sure if you follow LazySubber anywhere, but they did a Facebook post a few days ago and said they’re currently casting for this, if that helps at all with some sort of time frame lol. I’d guess at least end of this year or early next year, though I don’t know exactly how long it takes to cast, film, edit, etc.

Not really surprised because it is GMM after all, but had to share because it definitely was not something I caught the first time I watched. XD

Ughh you’re probably right! I’m more inclined to think so since it’s Netflix and a small number of episodes. But, as long as subsequent seasons remain as good as the first, I’m down!

Ohh that sounds good. I paused it after like the first or second episode bc I couldn’t get into it (wasn’t the hugest fan of SS1 either) but maybe I’ll try picking it up again. It did seem to be well-received despite the initial backlash when it was first announced, so I’m getting more interested in trying it out again.
People really out here saying this has no plot when there was more storyline in these two short installments than in the entire silent, repetitive mess that was UWMA (just using this as an example for comparison, don’t come for me). Guess some people define plot as a long, multi-episode series rather than actual story line and development. At least, that’s the vibe I get from the comments, but to each their own. The shade of it all.
