I do get your point tho regarding the adult husband mannerism -- they should've communicated it better with the older actor to sync with Taek. The personality seems a bit much, but one can say Taek became more comfortable and outgoing due to Deok-sun's personality over time :) + also to create a red herring.

I think Jung Hwan represents some people who aren't great at doing relationships at all -- I think this is one of the main reason why people rooted so much for him. I think you can say that Deok Sun was his first love and sometimes it comes with immaturity too and surface level feelings...but unlike Taek, Jung Hwan only likes Deok Sun. It wasn't a deep kind of love that would make him cross that line with her.
Some useful tip. Don't go to some alcoholic man and say worship me, Chances are high almost 99%, you will get…
realistically, i'd agree with you -- but then again, this is a drama, and it's established early on that mr. gu isn't considered 'bad' by the family (and most importantly -- the father likes him) even though they didn't know his true background.
Seol x Yeo Jeong vs Seol x In-ho there...why don't we have Yeo Jeong x In-ho? Lol. When they were out there brawling I was lowkey screaming "kiss kiss kiss" XD
I gave it a 9.5 because I felt the last few episodes did not fit well. I also read up that they minimised Yoo…
I've already watched it too! it was such a hype when it aired back then. May I suggest Because This Is My First Life if you haven't watch it? The ML there also suppresses his feelings just without the manipulations :D It's also slice of life and it's one of my comfort shows
I love most of this drama, until they got confused and started shoving the 2ml down my throat. I dislike him and…
I think people aren't used to male lead who fight with their minds. They're more used to fighting with barehands and all. I agree with you that most of the people that the ML punish were the bad / strange ones (except Seol who shouldn't been bought into the mess)
Sang-cheol shouldn't be going around bullying others and asserting his seniority to free load everyone. If he fucked up the interview -- that's on him.
Is the panty-stealer/future rapist/assualter better than Jung? Absolutely not. The way the conversation happened there was crazy. There's no comparison at all.
How about In-ho? Now, I think this is a bit blurry but they're both the reasons why their friendship ended. Jung is right to resent him, but it's not right to wish him harm depending on whatever intent he taught about when he setup a trap (depends on you if you believe he's the one who called the cops -- or his dad did after being tattled on). It's also not right for him to not butt in and save his friend (or maybe he did call the security later on and that just wasn't shown). But it's also not right for In-ho to be talking bad about his friend like that. Either way, this is part of his character building so if he's this bad that's literally about his character.
Seol and Yeong-gon? I honestly think he did Seol wrong, but then he did saw that Seol was talking to Yeong-gon. And he dislikes Seol and dislikes Yeong-gon. I don't think he did mean to harm her that much BUT yes; I think he did want to put her into some trouble. He was wrong in that and I do think he tried to make amends afterwards.
The SML looked like a stalker himself every where the FL was he was there, also the FL kept hanging around him…
i don't think inho was a stalker, but in the earlier episodes he was truly leeching off her because she's close to the Yoo Jeong. and also yes, I'd agree this one of the mistakes that the writer made -- Hong Seol already has a boyfriend yet always entertain the 2ML wholeheartedly, it's a bit off-putting sometimes especially when the ML would notice them. Why do kdrama writers always insist on adding second lead love triangle, when it already has such a juicy story?!

you should try Flower of Evil!! the male lead is a bit of sociopath and manipulative. the plot is solid and so the character arcs! also great chemistry between the leads
I'm really interested with the male lead character and his dynamic with the FL. I don't care if they go into toxic territory in the end, that's literally the concept of this show. I'm half way episode 6 and I'm enjoying it so far, and while I can say he's a bit of weird -- I don't think he's being unreasonable at all. Those people around him can't have accountability and instead of accepting their wrongdoings they kept on blaming him. It makes me a bit mad as I've read the character arc might be abrupt or stopped since the director and producers weren't dedicated or strong enough to handle his character and utterly butching it with secondary stories. Hope it proves me wrong tho
haha it's better to stop looking updates for this one and just let us surprise us when it'll finally be released. maybe that'd be better. my personal bet is this will be released around December for Christmas season or 1st quarter of 2026.
