I feel so bad for Tsunemi, Harumichi wasted so many years of her life with that fake relationship. he was emotionally…
Yeah...felt bad for her. But I try to view the show with a more open-minded and forgiving lens knowing how flawed the main characters and how unfortunate the accident for everyone is.
+ But Tsunemi is a strong lady, and didn't deserve to be in a relationship with a man who's unsure of his own feelings, though I'm a bit glad on how they handled the aftermath of the breakup.
I honestly loved this drama, it's really good, the writing was amazing and so the directing and acting from everyone. it's just sad that the main actor is not the great man we thought he was and in fact, more media coverages proving him to be worse. it's sad and very unfortunate situation for everyone.
but for everyone who loves this drama and will do -- I think it's absolute fair and okay and I think I'll still do love this (might not rewatch) -- but, this is a fantastic show no matter what happens and though the main lead did worse, I believe we can think of this show as a product of many people working. :)
anyway...just wanted to add that while WE can continue loving this drama/show or any shows he was in...I don't think people should keep supporting him -- of course it's still your choice but, I don't think he's worth it. trust me, he's not and I don't even support cancel culture at all, but this time, he needs to be accountable.
checked your profile and saw this list! such a good list :) the only ones I haven't fully checked out are Reply series, My Dearest, Goblin and When Life Gives You Tangerine. Planning to watch WLGYT soonest then My Dearest :)
So I didn't watch "When The Camellia Blooms" yet even though it has Gong Hyo Jin in it and she is one of my favourite…
Hii, it's definitely a favorite of mine and a masterpeice. It also received Grand Prize at Baeksang Arts Awards! However, the characters and settings are of Asian culture (so if you're from western, I'm not sure if this will be up to your liking).
For the serial killer plot – it's meshed well with the main message of the show I believe. The romance is slow burn, but it's really good though it is more of heart warming relationship compared to the one with electrifying chemistries. It's mature and warm. The message about mothers is also very strong in that show. The comedy is also quite good (but I enjoy slapstick comedies). Overall, the fusion of genres is excellent on this one.
I honestly think since you like WLGYT, I believe you'll also like that one. :)
Finished show today and I say – well done! Though it could've been more with a 16 episode, they did fairly with the 12 episodes. Seo Kang Joon never disappoints. Kim Shin Rok is fantastic and delicious villain. Jin Ki Joo – an unsung hero, a true wild card – she brought Oh Su A to life (a brave history teacher that's no damsel in distress) with her very expressive and honest acting.
The team and everyone part of this show, you did well. This has been such a ride and enjoyed Undercover High School a lot. Hopefully many can give this show some love too!
kim sam soon you will always be famous in my heart (rewatched it last year and fell in love with it so so much)
SAM SOON is the best -- very flawed woman but nonetheless very attractive and inspiring... always ready to take a risk and lose. she's brave at heart. amazing at her job. and absolutely beautiful!

When the Camellia Blooms – i'm sorry some people can't appreciate you enough.
