with a poor Mr. Kim who was not shown until the end and who Heedo wanted to divorce at age 29
Nope guys, they did not divorce. It was in the last episode where Jiwoong and Yurim were showing off their relationship to Heedo and that they're about to wed. And then Heedo said that it's better to not propose because that's better than having a divorce.
It's just a joke tho, but still, the writing let Heedo and Yijin down. Anyway, that's just me.
Don't get us wrong guys lmao, I pretty didn't like the ending that much because of how great the whole drama is.…
I 100% agree with you. I mean we can definitely feel bad about the ending as well, because with all those clues in production and just one problem in Heedo and Yijin's relationship, the 13 episodes build-up was crashed with a goodbye? And they didn't even become casual friends again?

Everyone else can have a different opinion regarding the ending, and we can all have different feelings to it. So, as for me the drama was beautiful, but I'm depressed with its ending. Especially with how they kept on making us guess who the heck is Mr. Kim and didn't even show us. It felt like a cheat. It was depressing because we saw for 15 episodes how Heedo and Yijin tried to make things work, but a problem came and they didn't. Yes, sure, the closure was beautiful, but I just knew it could be more. And the future timeline, I did not really like it, it felt rushed to me.
Also, I refuse to believe they are first love, it's great love to me. It seems like both Jiwoong and Yurim finally make it, their struggles are not shown yet they got married. I mean I'm happy for the both of them, but their struggles are not visible for us to see and we are to believe they were able to succeed with it. Whereas, Heedo and Yijin, are doomed from the beginning. I think that was unfair from a writing standpoint.
Still, I love the drama, do not get me wrong, I loved almost every episodes and every characters, but with the 13 episodes build-up, with all the clues, theories, foreshadowing lines and everything, I think the ending for our main leads was undeserved.
Have you guys watched the new preview? Their love is still worth it, they know it is. I know not all relationships end well and that's not inherently bad. Even if Yi jin and Hee do ended up separating, I know I will be satisfied because their story has been beautiful all along and to the rest of the characters, I'm already satisfied in their arcs especially with how they concluded that final match. Still, Heedo and Yijin's love is still worth pursuing for. Problems and hurdles, they are part of life, but we need to be mature enough to realize that they will always get back to us, no matter what kind of relationship we're going to have in the future. And this is why we need to value communication and keep on making active choice to keep on choosing the precious persons in our lives to stay.
Not all relationships are going to be smooth sailing, life has many variables, but at the end of the day, it's a choice to stay and to love that person.
COMPLETE turnaround from episode 14. I was kind of on the edge after the last one but this episode takes the cake.…
" but a relationship with weight and value that stood the test of time "
100% agree with you! Yijin is really in a very difficult situation now and he's mental health was really affected because of the war and I can only hope that they'll be able to pull it through together!!
SAME. I liked the way they presented him in episode 15 a LOT more than last weeks episode. He's clearly an empath…
Agreed so much. I criticized his report last week (the journalism practice itself, not him because I love him), but in this episode I'm just so proud of him and I hope his passion will only get bigger as years go by--we need more people like him in this world. And I do really hope he'll be able pull through with Heedo by his side!
thank you for this. I was getting upset reading some comments blaming yijin, it feels good to see some people…
I haven't read the other comments yet, but even though I'll never fully understand his pain, I still feel like I can still relate to him. I really hope he'll be able to breath properly when he meets Heedo again, because the war is really suffocating him so much.
I agree with you. I think people are not seeing where he is coming from. Yes it is taking a toll on him but he…
You are right...and I really hope that they can still power through this. The last episode seems to have a good resolution for the both of them and I want them to be there for each other even at their lowest points. I know they will make it.
I really felt Yijin a lot in today's episode and I'm proud of his decisions as a reporter. He's really doing it out of passion and from his principles but it's also the thing that is weighing him down. I hope he remembers that he's already making the world better and do not be too hard on himself even more. War is really heartbreaking and we'll probably not able to understand the people who are able to witness is. I hope they will not give up. I want them to see them to be happy and succeed together in this very bleak world. Fighting.
Also, while the other half is really heavy, I'm super happy for Yurim and Heedo. I'm giggling and crying for the both of them! I'm proud of those two and I'm really really happy for their friendship.
Aaaah...today's episode really felt heavy to my heart, but it's better than from episode 14.
