I'll be completely honest, not a single chance.
After watching ep 6 I can see it. I’m not that sad thouas I’m not particularly fond of the FL or better said her acting. Also, the king’s acting is way too similar to his role in Shooting Stars - his expressions and behaviour really reminds me of the same character. Because of this I can’t really feel the chemistry between the king and the FL.

I somewhat forgot what Sou’s voice sounded until the last episode showed him talking with Tsumugi in the classroom… oooh - he had THAT deep of a voice?? I got used to the silence. I was able to understand what Sou meant when he said he can’t remember Tsumugi’s voice in his head. At first I thought it is wierd since he had memories with her but then - I couldnt remember Sou’s voice either although we did hear it in the beginning of the series. Interesting to see that I perceived him more confident of himself when he spoke out loud but after I forgot his voice and only saw him and his body demeanour when he used sign language, I interpreted his character as ‘trying to shrink’ and saw him as weaker and vulnerable as a result. Makes sense though as it’s tragic what he was going through.

So well said! I couldn't have said it better. Now waiting for the last episode. Hope happy ending. Thank you!
Haha you were spot on the Christmas decorations - not so sure about staring lovingly more like embarrassed to have shared an intimate moment

This drama has me feeling sorry for Aoba. Sou nor Minato deserve her. I don't know which one of these guys piss…
I had the same frustration after watching ep 10, but then it’s because of her courageous and loving character that the story is reversed and we see a beautiful ending. Myself like you, thought that the best ending would be for her to not be with either and just go travel and do something with her life that doesn’t involve people who don’t see her value, but she was able to see through the hurt of other people and not think just of her own good. I thought the last episode was very beautiful - I probably will rewatch this series again in future to see if I can better understand it.

I would say it's mature romance and it is more slice of life drama (there wasn't any kiss scenes so far)
Agree - my best drama of 2022!

I don't know what the writer is thinking. I understand the importance of sound in Sou and Tsumogi's relationship…

Finally over. It was terrible
I think this drama hits different depending on your mental state and what you need. I felt I was on a healing journey, yes there were frustrations as a viewer but I think this is what the director was trying to accomplish - to understand their frustrations. I can see how I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if I wanted a straightforward romance.

I wonder what he whispered to her!
In the classroom: It must be the answer to her question, to what part of her name is unique to him, which for me translate to: what do you like about me. In the fairy light park probably he said her name - I was actually waiting the whole drama for him to call out her name in public and as this didn’t happen I chooose to believe he said her name in her ear. But it also gives me the message that as a third person, an outsider, you don’t need to know the actual words spoken between them to understand this is an intimate moment he wants to share with her. Well, there is probably more meaning in the last scene but it’s just my simple take.

I really liked it but I feel like every episode was spent conversing about angst in sign language. It got a little…
I agree - they were many times that I felt that a hug, or a kiss or just touching could help soothe and dissipate the frustration. Speaking our mind is limited to the words we know and in itself is a limitation, so even those who speak can’t fully express what we sometimes feel. Presence is already powerful without words, seeing someone is also powerful as energy can be transmitted without words.

I am happy this is my first J-drama. I will cherish it and remember it. I recommend everyone to watch it - even as a viewer you share their healing journey and it’s heartbreaking but also beautiful. It’s a one of a kind drama.

I was sceptic to watch 41 episodes and I was right. I dropped at about 29 and watched only 10 minutes of most episodes. There is so much background story that has no meaning to the overall story. Also, who would want to date someone who lies to you and rejects you like he did? If at your 30s you are so hot and cold, playing with the feelings of a young one, and saying promises you can’t keep - is that something worth accepting? I felt it was wrong although real life is also messy and for someone this could make sense, but not for my taste. I’m 29 so maybe I’m over this type of hype of ‘romance’. I watched it because it had a super high rating on Viki, but now I know to be careful with that.

According to me, Detective couple(Bae do na) is taking care of child as requested by mother(IU). Adopting couple…
The yellow minibus that picked him up does not match the one in which So Yooung hoped in, and since I cannot understand the words written on the minivan - I don’t know if it had written something about laundry. I would assume though that Sang Hyun bought a newer and nicer minivan since the kid expressed that their minibus is old and shitty. That’s a presupposition though.

I felt a lot of different emotions watching the movie: ridiculous but humorous, illegal but humane. I watched the movie without having seen a trailer or reading the synopsis so I had no expectations. I enjoyed it thoroughly as I like real life depictions filmed with a beautiful cinematography and the actors were great in my view. Watching this movie, makes you sympathise and empathise with the characters although they are human traffickers, so it created a moral dilemma and I was asking myself: why is the director trying to portray these illegal acts as something worth understanding and not judging so easily.

I finished it and I’m glad I gave it a go. It had a beautiful story, a very well written script, the music indeed makes such a difference - it was beautiful against those slow motion cinematographic takes. I loved the camera work, it highlighted all the humane experiences brilliantly and the colours were just right. Recommend it to everyone!
