they are not characters (with an actual story). We see them just for some seconds. They are not even secondary characters.

Thinking about it , all the very smart characters and figures in power were male in this drama. Females did things related to beauty, family, motherhood... a bit old fashioned.

Basically they showed how the China will conquer the space, because they have smart, genius and handsome males like the ML. The females are pretty mascots there to sustain them in their goals , stay by their side and wait for them while they do the important stuff, don't get them distracted from their job. I don't agree with this role of the lives of female individuals, but of course everyone can live as they want.
