I would love it, too-they just have to get cast who are willing to do shorter series (still as much commitment…
I feel you there. I'm honestly tired of explaining their connection to all the users who complain about the projects being moved one way or another. As long as the team and the budget stay the same, I don't see why we should care where the product airs, since it's the same product.
It's a classical xianxia. Nothing new or special so far. Also the special effects (CGI) are unfortunately cheap, nevertheless I still enjoy it. The ML is the classical strong character that acts cold, but actually cares a lot inside (can relate).
It's aesthetically really pleasing. The photography and the editing are on point. The problem is the incoherence of the message. At the beginning we see a character that says things like (not direct quote) "If he bases his love on your appearance, he doesn't really love you." and that there should not be only one beauty standard, that we are beautiful in all shapes, no matter how we look. Also they showed how it's unfair and discriminating to praise the worker for the looks and not for the actual hard work and competence. However in the last episode the whole point of the message is lost. They criticize an organization for their capitalist views, but in fact the advertised product does the same thing: promotes a type of beauty for their own profit, so more people will want to buy it. The parallel world company promotes wrinkles, our world the anti-wrinkles standard. What's the difference anyway? How is that in line with "be yourself. You define your own beauty."? The hypocrisy.
Looks like they took inspiration from a lot of movies and series. It felt like watching a mix of Loki, The Longest Day in Chang'an and Stargate (but with lower budget and quality)
I dont think i can watch anything from him in the near future. This leaves a bitter mark.I saw 4 of his dramas.…
My comment regards your reply to "I don't think i can watch anything from him in the near future. This leaves a bitter mark. I saw 4 of his dramas. My favorite remains Navillera, but i will probably not rewatch it anytime soon.". The fact that the person doesn't want to see other projects with an actor doesn't necessarily mean the person hates the actor. Sometimes we just don't like the way they act or the majority of the project that they choose.
