Here's the link to the eps on Naver. https://tv.naver.com/maxpowerent/playlists Sorry if you don't speak English. If anyone has an English sub link, people leave it so people who don't understand Korean can watch as well.
They are from parallel universes. These are very similar with one difference, the time flows in a different direction…
Ah sorry about that. I watched a while ago, was looking in different websites to find some recommendations of stuff similar to this, and happen to read a lot of confused comments all over the internet. I remembered that she gave him the box when he was a kid, but that part escaped my mind. Thank you!
Can someone tell me if this has a sad or happy ending? I don't want details, I'll watch it regardless, it's just that I need to be in a specific mood in order to enjoy sad dramas. Thank you!!
People seem to have a lot of doubts when watching this.
They are from parallel universes. These are very similar with one difference, the time flows in a different direction when you put them side by side. Imagine that you are driving on a highway. The road next to you is the same as the one you are in, but the cars are driving in the opposite direction. If you were to go to the other side, you would also have to drive in the opposite direction. Every 5 years, for 30 days, it's possible to travel from one universe to the other (they don't explain how, but it doesn't really matter). Through the course of these two characters lives, there are 7 times when they can meet, but they only meet 4 times: - He is 5, she is 35: she saves him and gives him the box - He is 20, she is also 20: this is the time when the "present" of the movie takes place - He is 25, she is 15: he goes to meet her at her school and tells her what is going to happen, that's why she has that notebook with everything that happened/will happen to them when they were both 20 - He is 35, she is 5: he saves her The only thing that the viewer needs to wrap their head around to understand the movie is that what is the future to one character in the past to the other and vice-versa. Everything Minamiyama Takatoshi knows about the timelines/universes, as well as their time together, is either because Emi told him or because he lived it. While everything Fukuju Emi knows seems to be because of her family (she mentioned that she traveled with them) or because Takatoshi told her (when she was 15). The way I see it, this is technically not about time travel, no one traveled in time, they traveled from one universe to another.
But yes, there is a big "grandfather paradox" here because they saved each other. You could also ask what happened first? Well, I think this movie is going by the idea that all "time" is happening at the same time. Her past happened in his future. His past happened in her future. That means that the future is not "yet" to happen, it's happening at the same time as the present and the past. Well, they could be right about that, it's not like we know anything about the property of time. Ps. I know there are a manga and a novel, etc. I'm just talking about the movie, not the story across all adaptations.
Turns out the situation is not as clear as a lot of people wanted it to be. There's proof of that. Regardless of how the case moves forward and what further proof might come (proving her innocent or guilty), I hope this gives people a chance to see that the world is not black and white. That without proof, patience, and empathy for everyone involved, we can't possibly know who are the real victims of a certain situation. Adding fuel to the fire and hating on people without knowing the full story - that, just like bullying, will lead to the sort of pain and damage that marks a person. Please think about that before jumping on the next hate train that passes through the internet. https://www.dispatch.co.kr/2131911

It's not just Korea. It's people everywhere. Read the comments bellow from non-Koreans and how quickly people decided that she deserved to be hated and her career finished before there was any official information or proof.
wish it was netflix original work cus they wont care and air it anyways lol. i really dont see a valid reason…
I do agree with you. But also, if they aired it on schedule a lot of people would've probably boycotted it since this is ongoing and hot news and the series will be on television. If they waited and her name got cleared (which seems like what is going to happen) and they release it after that, the views would probably be better. Maybe that's what they were thinking?
