I kinda feel its like the JPN + Chinese version combine. The story following the JPN but the characthers/f4 are more humane like the Chinese version. Overall, i also think the 2018 is my favorite too. The JPN version was good but the guy was sorta a hothead jerk the entire time

I think most want a happy ending these days for these types of drama. The original novel ended when the guy left for another country.

Don't see any "comedy" in the 1st episode, hopefully it doesn't stay dark.

Thought all version except the recent mainland version had the school bullying. The mainland had the lunch box to the head instead lol. The kick/punch happens early here, similar to the mainland, so the bullying may stop soon

I don't see how this version diminish the japanese version. I think fans watch these remakes and decide which interpretation they enjoy the most.

Yeah, the ending was too rush. Too many of these youth dramas have the "seperated" for years then somehow get back together + engage in final 2 episodes.

I am guessing he is also fighting his own guilt. He was the one that brought them out of the well . Revenge is the motivation for many martial arts flicks.

How does the MDL top airing show by Country algorithmn works? This show seems to have the most watchers of the ones listed but is always 5th or falls of the chart.

i think this show has the best fight scenes that I have ever seen in any cdrama

The original was really good especially in the period it came out. Xing fei is too type cast ... She acts like "put your head.." Think the girl from Dr cutie or Liang jie would of better since they has a more comedic style.

This story was fun to watch as fiction but it is thrash in realistic terms. No one is gonna stay in a relationship where the guy(or gal ) is toxic/mean/angry from beginning to end. The 2018 Chinese version handles the guy's growth a whole lot better.

Supposely ep34 was the original ending of the novel, so i guess we should be happy it got a happy ending. Though I agree i think they should add a bit more to the ending... ML is jerkish to FL , than he suddenly propose to her a few days later at a wedding

Anyone else feel that the FL resembles Shan Cai (shen yue) in Meteor Garden? Did they also get the same voice actress too?
