456 was just a regular average person that likely develop ptsd/mental issues after his colleague died, he try starting a fail buisness and just had bad luck all around which lead to his path of misfortune. He likely had a moral compass, sense of righteousness and leadership ability when he was "okay"

It would be a big effort to replace the ML since they would need to bring back a bunch of people but maybe not impossible if the drama has alot of filler scenes and the ML just appears 15 mins a ep or rarely with the main stars. If the guy was arrested for like tax evasion or something minor, i can see it being sold... but imagine a company releasing/buying a show after the main star was convicted of being a rapist and the rape happen around the time of the shoot
