They changed so much of the original storyline and made the character's personalities so different then intended. In the novel and donghua, Tang San is a lot more "cool" and smart--he's very confident and shows little weakness, unlike here. Supposed to be like one of those op-characters. Xiao Wu was a lot more lovable there too compared to in this show. I have to admit it is because I am biased.

After reading the light novel and watching the donghua (animated) version, I just can't help but compare. I know live-actions will always have a downfall--hard to show certain scenes/animations/effects with live-action. If I had watched this without already knowing about the live action/donghua maybe I would've liked it more.

I agree! I love this drama so much. One of my favorite parts about it is the FL's family--so funny, loving, and supportive throughout the series!

It lasts about 2 episodes and actually Ban Hua already guessed/know the reason behind Rong Xia's decision and she does not blame him.

Yes, his own voice is already very nice. I believe he sang the OST for the drama. I never understand why CDramas often use dub. From BTS videos, it seems Neo does a great job, no need for a voice actor

It's sweet, funny and wholesome. I finished watching a different drama (tragedy) and then came to this one hoping it would be more light-hearted, and it is! ♥

I hate to admit it but I had 2nd male lead syndrome this entire series lol!

I discovered him from watching his newest drama "A Girl Like Me" and wow!I am so impressed with his acting. Not to mention he is SO handsome. How did I not know about him before??
I hope he appears in more dramas. Would love him in more historical-rom shows too ?

I still hope they can replace FL lead with someone else and refilm... I want to see Hou Ming Hao :(

April cannot come fast enough! I've been coming to check on this drama almost every day lol! This time I will be patient and wait until all episodes are released so I can binge watch the entire show all at once. ?

She does tell him about it directly on Ep. 17 but not much reaction/emphasis on the dreams from him.

He's so handsome . I only wish he could have more diverse roles. More historical roles would be nice ♥
