Dropped this show a year ago, and decided to pick it up again as there were good reviews and praise for the acting.
It was well performed and reminded me that the characters' lives are not so far from many people's reality. A bit grim to watch, though, but it's worth it for the end!
Has anybody noticed when Fujitani wears a baseball cap in the show, the quotes change. At the tour it says "Don't be a baby" and in the studio it says "I won't die". It's interesting how the series use props, colour scheme and their surroundings to convey the character's personalities.
Similar to Cherry Magic, I think they could have easily made this season into a film, where the Hawaii setting could have been the main plot instead of a one-to-two-episode arc.
But, considering this is a GL and may not be as popular as BL, they may have decided to run with the season formatting. I think that if we were going to get six episodes, we could have explored the relationship between Risa and Kyoko as well.
I went into this to kill some time due to the public holidays. It was actually not bad, it was insightful. I liked their choice of showing all the signs the Main FL missed. As an outsider to their growing bond, you can see when the Main ML starts to shift his behaviour and attention.
