The build-up seemed sudden when the kiss scene came. But it was for her to escape. I do feel the feelings from the ML were subtly hinted at from the beginning. The FL is cute, so I don't blame him if he started to feel an emotional attachment to her.
It has a mixture of TUA and The Boys world-building! The characters had fun chemistry, a lot of comedy mixed with the serious moments, and I wouldn't mind a season 2.
This was a nice popcorn series to binge! Also, it was cool to see the plot-twist was hinted at the beginning of the show! I wish I had more people to talk about this show with! It's interesting to see more cultural crossover series!
Dropped this show a year ago, and decided to pick it up again as there were good reviews and praise for the acting.
It was well performed and reminded me that the characters' lives are not so far from many people's reality. A bit grim to watch, though, but it's worth it for the end!
Has anybody noticed when Fujitani wears a baseball cap in the show, the quotes change. At the tour it says "Don't be a baby" and in the studio it says "I won't die". It's interesting how the series use props, colour scheme and their surroundings to convey the character's personalities.
Similar to Cherry Magic, I think they could have easily made this season into a film, where the Hawaii setting could have been the main plot instead of a one-to-two-episode arc.
But, considering this is a GL and may not be as popular as BL, they may have decided to run with the season formatting. I think that if we were going to get six episodes, we could have explored the relationship between Risa and Kyoko as well.
