It was nice revisiting these characters with a sequel. I was confused whether Makoto is still alive or if it was done as a flashback scene. However, if he was alive, there was a missed opportunity for interaction between Kida and Makoto.
Michiru grew on me gradually from ep2. Kida deserves to have some happiness in his life. In the end, his outfit and surrounding apartment visually reflect that he hasn't quite stepped forward from his past sorrows.
LIKE VERSUS LOVE FOR ASIANSThe subtitles of Asian shows always mistake that Asians say "I like you" in the context…
I get what you mean. The main reason why fansubbers don't immediately translate suki as "I love you" is because there is aishiteru which is the true meaning of "I love you"
It could also be quite impactful if said character ends up saying aishiteru. Personally, don't mind either way.
It was a nice sp as the comedic aspect reminded me of OL. I appreciated how the families and friends interacted therefore bringing a sense of closeness. I believe to up my rating, I would have liked to see more backstory and moments between Ryosuke and Mizuki.

Finished it for Komatsu-san and Hayashi-san. The chemistry was so-so and the lighting and ost was beautiful.
If there was going to be a sequel, chances are it may become a film like most series on Viki.

May give it a go!
