I’m currently watching the first episode. Is it me or did they ramp up the romantic vibes between Arisu and…
Yes, I added that into my review haha

This film was interesting. it made me more eager to check out the anime adaptation. The time leap plotline was an intriguing part.

It was nice revisiting these characters with a sequel. I was confused whether Makoto is still alive or if it was done as a flashback scene. However, if he was alive, there was a missed opportunity for interaction between Kida and Makoto.

Michiru grew on me gradually from ep2. Kida deserves to have some happiness in his life. In the end, his outfit and surrounding apartment visually reflect that he hasn't quite stepped forward from his past sorrows.

How did they know Kiritani was in school on episode 6?
The background gave it away. As detectives they must have visited the storage room.

The premises seemed interesting at first, but it falls dull in the end.

Finished it for Komatsu-san and Hayashi-san. The chemistry was so-so and the lighting and ost was beautiful.

This was a great short series! The chemistry and story didn't seem rushed. The crew stayed faithful to the manga and dialogue.

If there was going to be a sequel, chances are it may become a film like most series on Viki.

LIKE VERSUS LOVE FOR ASIANSThe subtitles of Asian shows always mistake that Asians say "I like you" in the context…
I get what you mean. The main reason why fansubbers don't immediately translate suki as "I love you" is because there is aishiteru which is the true meaning of "I love you"

It could also be quite impactful if said character ends up saying aishiteru. Personally, don't mind either way.

I loved it but I just have one peeve: why do J bl drama all do this? Why are they so stingy with the kiss. I mean…
Pretty sure it's a cultural thing. I remember seeing a few straight jdramas with no kiss scenes. It could also be a directors decision.
