So sad, Mei was making progress trying to be less dependant, but now back to square one
Exactly, that made me so frustrated because the story makes her out to be the antagonist. It shows those internal struggles are not easy to move on from.
This was an interesting film. I didn't watch the drama first, so I guess I missed a huge chunk of the characters' backstories, but the film sums it up anyways. It made me interested to see what happens next.
I legit didn't notice Yamada was Tenji until later on x'D
Now wait a damn minute. You mean to say, I invested all that time, watching Haru fall for Maki, only to see that…
That's literally what the local audiences felt. Especially when the drama released a few months after the love or dead film. There were a lot of complaints and disappointment expressed on the shows socials :')
I agree, and the story format started from the 2016 special episode. The 2018 drama featuring Maki and other characters played by well-known actors is what indeed launched this drama internationally.
I also didn't see the point of making this reboot straight after the film release (other than the obvious airline sponsorship). I was disappointed as the newly added characters were dull and underdeveloped with less screen impact compared to 2018 Ossan's love.
I believe the story had potential, but it dragged on for so long that it drove itself to a corner. Unless the show-runners decide to make a season 2 we are left with an open ending and own interpretation of the outcome of the characters.
I really wasn't ready with the amount of smiles Miura sans character shows throughout this series. I do love the plot as it reminds us to use money wisely and have gratitude for the little things.
It was mostly all pretty usual robot-stuff up till episode 5. Never really thought about such a thing happening…
Yeah, I was surprised with how the show delved into the main and side characters story arc. It definitely shows two sides of the same coin regarding the world of AI.
