I really enjoyed the drama. having seen hundreds of Asian Dramas, maybe even in the thousands now, I definitely loved the plot. The pacing is definitely fine as it unravels a lot of mysteries of past wrongs. I also enjoyed the love between the lead couple and the story gave a very unique what if scenario that had me binge the series in one weekend.
is there somewhere i can watch this with english subs? I searched it and got the other similar titled show about two smart school boys (that one is also ok but not this one haha).
while i was binge'ing I was in discord. Someone was talking to me and i was like i'm binging this amazing drama. he was like oh so i should stop bothering you. I said: exactly!! i apologized later (after i finished the series) and we had laughs about it.
Lee Jae Wook . . . My goodness. He was amazing in this. I want the novel, and I definitely want this drama in my physical collection.
There are times over the years a drama so visually, musically, and poetically powerful comes along. IMHO. . . This is definitely one of them! It sinks into you. from Episode one I could feel the despair creeping. Then the dark vile things bubbled up and kept coming. Yet there was constant hope and beauty in the mist of so much wrong.
I feel lost and yet I can not find a moment in the drama where it did not resonant. I reaches into one and caresses the soul.
Definitely a soul deep dramatic mystery thriller with love, horror, and beauty masterfully intertwined.

I really hope they get awards for this drama because they did an amazing job! The Acting, Cinematography, and Soundtrack. yeah I want that soundtrack now!!
Binge'd this today and worth the watch IMO. definitely made me feel good this weekend. now i gotta watch Love at Night again cause I swear they have the same romantic vibe. but nothing alike. i normally don't like the Star in love dramas but this one i really did because it was more about the person and not the idol. I hope the leads get more work as interesting as this in the future.
It kept my attention. some parts were hmmm. Another grudge/ring ish movie. not to say "Spring Garden" was like those but the overall feel of what results in grudges from beyond. Definitely had a plot that did waiver a lot as it progressed. Wasn't a tight knit tale but hey for the premise, not sure how much complexity one needs to. Also was it just my thinking, or was her body somehoe burred by the fuel tank for the home. They kept showing that and had me thinking she was there. Also whose baby was FL carrying at the end because she lost the one she had. Interesting things happened. Some ghostly invitro. had this feel that maybe the baby would end up being the ghost girl reincarnated. Ah well. fun to ponder things. Again, I was fine with the movie. It has it scares for me and passed the time well.
I liked the first two episodes. Mostly backstory setting up the mystery and tragedy surrounding the female lead.…
I also liked the first two episodes. Not only was it backstory but it gave perspective from outsiders and internally within her. There are plenty of stories that have this style of writing. so it might be just these two episodes but I agree it definitely gave depth to the happenings and how they effected fl and those around her.
I loved The Trunk and gave it a 10. I am drawn to psychological dramas like this not because of the twisted elements, but simply because there are a lot of problem relationships in life and it is good to see the harm that can come if people do not recognize the signs. Best way to know is to see it put out there even if in a drama with our favorite actors and actresses.
I love Gong Yoo and definitely came into watching the Trunk for him. But I also love a good mystery. The mystery persisted throughout the eight episodes so I appreciate that I was guessing until it was revealed. As for the messed up relationships and facing them, i feel like all the angles and even the side characters were some reality I have seen in real life. Not necessarily my own but definitely in the traumatic relationships I have witnessed.
I feel lit is good to put the messed up things out there for people to see. Then hopefully we know how recognize and address them when they cross our paths to prevent life destroying traumas.
Only other thing I have to say, is that I really enjoyed Seo Hyun Jin's performance.
What is up with these short dramas having endings like this?? It is bad enough that we are getting almost nothing…
haha I thought recovered from another one with a WTF ending but this just ripped that bandage off. Now i'm salty about two not one hanging drama. But at least with this one i can assume he died. The other one was as if there was a whole part ripped out. like oh S2. haha
I'm binge watching the eps out, now starting ep 3. the plot is quite interesting, never seen something like this…
since you're three eps in this isn't a spoiler for you, but the three families and their abilities/vices(side effects) has a feel of the family's in the mystic nine. So the second i started watching the first ep i was like yes this is great story potential.
i really enjoyed this movie and actually loved it far more than the animated drama of the same story (which aired on Netflix). I normally don't prefer watching live actions after I have seen an animated version and definitely not a live action movie versus an animated drama. But wow i was really really excited just minutes into this that I would love it. It did not disappoint either.
it was great until the end. Maybe there will be a 2nd one.
Right?! i was half asleep when i saw that ending i woke up with a strong WTH kinda ending is that. talk about total tragedy from start to finish. Definitely could have a part 2 but just don't see that happening.
