Actually I do think the main reason they'd tie the knot now is maybe wanting kids? Even with famous parents, there…
yup absolutely. and women and marginalized genders would need to be supported! all of us living in fascism right now. quite sad. its' getting the same in the states too where younger people are obsessed with marriage because of the security it brings and the state's obsession with reproduction for capital. ah well! jk not oh well! people are trying to resist in big and small ways so i always think it's cool when ppl in more outwardly conservative societies try and circumvent the confines.
an obgyn? wow that's awesome. will be interesting to see how they deal with women and sexual cultures in her job; i've heard some horror stories about obygyns in sk (and in general but ykwim). always love a seo hyun jin, she picks more feminist adjacent projects. adore yoon se ah so might pick this up. loneliness, childhood trauma, and being a misft is definitely something i can relate to.
let's hope they kiss like normal ppl. my ears are up cos i think that guy's interesting lol. at this point murder + romance is sk trying to tell us that love is violent i think lmao bc jesus christ
wait how did i forget abt this i need to watch it. oh now i remember why. lol. need emi in an edgy bisexual gl tbh. bonnie is so young and it's a little too clean cut for me so i just end up staring at emi. there's something about her; i always look at her when she's in scenes even in other shows.

no seriously i love this and thank you so much for answering. i figured that's why they waited so long. i wish she could do what she wants outside of the bounds of marriage but i'm glad she gets to choose some aspect on her terms. it's so strange isn't it? everyone knows they/people have sex and co habitate and date etc but no children out of wedlock?? it just feels so unfair that marriage is the height of love esp because it means something much more pernicious for women. tysm for letting me know this!
I feel like a lot of people outside the fandom are misunderstanding the internal issues happening within the MileApo…
ok sure but it's a television show....it's just weird to be this beholden to a couple in a work and not the work itself. i understand this but idk man this branded pairing shit is frying peoples brains. too many shows being produced, too much rush, not enough thoughtfulness, and using the popular ones to promote it.
otoh the problem with the second couple is how VERY MUCH political it is but sorta circumventing that. i'm tired as hell and dont' feel well so idk if this makes much sense but regardless..fans need to fucking chill. we need to remember what the hell art is about. it isn't about the celebrities it's about what EVERYONE comes together to create. we don't just make art because of the famous people in it and for us artists that is frustrating.
and honestly maybe we should all confront how much time, effort, and thought [fans] put into these people (mostly men) to give money to these productions then fans feeling deserving of it in lieue of delving into the work and meeting it where it's at EVEN IF you don't get your expectation. so you didn't get what you wanted per se, but does that make the flaws you mentioned worse because you expected it or is it the flaw in the storytelling/filmmaking itself?
this is the culture that's been fostered with all media everywhere but it's one that degrades things further, alienates artists from their labor, and creates complex situations that only get worse because if it can generate money, that's a good thing so the relationship between fans and works created cannot change.
beyond happy for them if that's what they want. and i'm happy they were together so long and openly, as he fucking struggled, and living together and living how they want. if they want kids...could you have imagined how cool it woulda been for them to never marry and have them? lmao. i know marriage is a huge deal but even before this their love was already cemented and real! bless them and stay true to yourselves.
also: i hope shin min ah knows ho much she's done for perceptions of women in her work. it won't and doesn't change everything, not even close, but she has made her own life and characters with autonomy. so proud of her!
