wow everyone was a human trash in this series (cept for the main good guys) including Jo Jin Gab's father... all…
part of the point of the show is how much money can make you selfish, but i'd say the literal millionaires probably outdid the workers who influence basically nothing except their own lives in which they need $ for survival

is there romance?
what aforementioned user said! but there are two couples central to the romantic plot that are super cute.

100% agree. she didn't bend the rules of the law for anyone but herself and she hurt so many people. i'm glad some people feel this way. she was the villain imo!!!!

Stranger is a higer calibre work than Confessions. The pacing and music is good here though. The central characters…
i honestly think stranger is a damn-near impeccable. there's only one part i object to (the way they find out about 07 but that's so minor overall.) one thing stranger has/had was a mostly impeccable cast and ifsomeone slacked people were able ot pick it up. honestly i really love everything about the drama.

i think the woman that plays yuri isn't a detractor but she is minorly distracting because she's so bad lol. junho's def grown a lot though but i wish he brought a bit more nuance but he plays a person who is weak trying to be strong really well. and YJM...wow!

but yea im with you i just LOVE stranger i've seen it like 5 times lol

i agree with your last part. and as someone who definitely does not trust law enforcement or justice system i…
ok hahaha yea. i didn't like that and it was in almost every ep ESP when they addressed it. i loved the rest of it mostly but that was soooo glaring to me. i forgot about that brutality storyline! i knew they were going to have to address and they did....poorly

oh yea soo young. her situation is confusing. it's obvious she was very abused for gambling and money by her stepbro and clear she had a lot of stuff on her mind. i'm pretty sure she also self harmed like bit na. but she was completely unreliable and seemed to be scared of pursuit without violence. i would have loved to look into it more esp bc jiheon has tried so hard with his anger.

speaking of...i know it was casual and they may have dropped it or decided that what they gave us was enough but i wish we had known more about ji heon and his ex. she lost her baby but i think it was an abortion more than miscarriage? i mean that whole thing was pretty powerful but just fucking saaad

1000% agree with you. honestly after bit na's mom i was surprised at how distraught she was but why should i be? psychologically it makes total sense. just like with eun ho and the men he grew up with. it's obvious he felt some way bc he was abused and that kind of thinking is complex.

i thought the same like why would you kill them when the children aren't asking for this? it's even more torture isnt it.

honestly i think in the end she's just forcing it. she loves her sister and her daughter loves her mom so i think it would be hard to break. do you remember what she said at the end? i think it was something like "why do i get the feeling that you aren't suffering?" i could be wrong but something along those lines.

the selfishness of adults...even the main characters but at least they could realize it lol honestly woo kyung is one of the strangest (in a good way) characters ive come across in a long long time

yea i was having a hard time with that as well. kinda off topic and tangential but have you seen life on mars? i remember the like police brutality against perpetrators to be pretty deep and no one did anything and it's such an overuse of power so i couldn't focus.

the content matter is super relevant any time but specif rn what's happening in sk in terms of like who takes responsibility and who is helping these people. the problem i had with red cry was that almost all of these people, women, had things happening to them as well. the saddest one was with han na, who i'm glad they kept up with and that hugging sceeeene, but her mom was assaulted and forced to marry and couldn't take care of her child...like the social services and her family and others failed her....why wouldnt the real problem be addressed? why would you kill someone who was an incredibly flawed but sick mother? like why isn't anyone helping these children?

and it's exactly what you said. concerned with appearances. acting like shutting down this specific faction of society but not addressing deep issues (but then again that is the problem with our idea of justice--how do we change it and deter it? murder isn't the answer that's for sure!)

i think in some strange way they all had this connection to eunho whether good or bad what they saw in him ref and relected a lot of their pain...it does help us understand why someone would kill but it also enforces the conundrum of morality and did he have a point in killing ppl (no it's weird lol) this is all pjsifoaufshaofi im sorry but i agree with your point.

re: the mother? HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I WOULD NEVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. fogive her. EVER. she gaslighted the fuck out of her and her sister like what kind of...she literally went through some of the most traumatic shit it was amazing that she even could still stand and then had to go through the biggest blow of all. ugh.

another good thing abt the show is showing like what healthy parenting is and what can't be casually accepted. :(

god watching this life was hard. i didn't think i would pick it up but i love kim sun ah and i was itching for a good mystery or w/e. the insanity portrayed and the sadness. also lee yi kyung is an amazing actor. this is my first time checking him out and i loved every second of it. i saw him in night flight (? is that the name? it's a movie about 2 gay dudes in the city for a night) and rly enjoyed it.

children of nobody wasn't perfect but it was really close to being really thoughtful and adept every step of the way. and yes the storyline. it's actually insanity and it's heartbreaking but we don't get enough time to process this whole convoluted idea because there's so much emotion behind it? so if anything confused me i knew it would be answered? words cannot describe what i felt watching it lol i cried so much.

i agree w/ your post OP! the ceiling breaking O M F G. and the connection with the kids....

when jiheon gets that hug....i lost it. i lost it.
