there's soooo many dramas out there nowadays and i have to laugh at not being able to handle that actor or his character to the point where we should all be bothered by it omg

also he (jiwon) literally cannot be himself. he's actually a fucking liar. i love it lmao but he can't be himself. people didn't like him when he was himself! they discarded him the minute he couldn't bring money or glory. then asked him to keep fucking up his body and for what? to secure that same abandonment?
it's not that this show is flawless it's that i'm surprised people wouldn't feel good about it and call him annoying when i see so many people upset they don't dictate the script as True Queer Reality. this show takes an occupation (labor) and ties it directly to identity. this show is in south korea. it is 2025. things are BAD. this should be exciting for ppl!

to me though there's some hypocrisy. besides how insistent ql fans are on labels (that the west forced upon the world), there's often a complaint, esp w kbl, about the fantasy land theyre in. this show clearly tackles queerness and coming out in a literal manner but also easily digestible for the demographic that is primarily young women and marginalized genders. this is literally something people beg for, esp with the younger dramas, and this show is giving it to you in a real deep way. it isn't over the top angsty, it's sensual enough to have interest, and it also hurts. it's also one of the few to even act like bisexuality is a fucking thing. a tangible goddamn thing (could rant abt this for fucking days bc people's abandonment of us is fucking awful and embarrassing).
though i ended up skimming a lot bc life, i enjoyed this show when i don't find much joy in many cultural products anymore. bc i'm aangry, upset, confused at this world. SO in 2025 in south korea and around the world people are suffering (under fascism lbr atp guys) and jiwon's concern is a REAL concern. i mean a famous person fucking coming out????? a famous athlete in sk? a former famous athlete who people already hated is queer, the other ACTIVE athlete is a sexuality that people barely acknowledge even more.... it's a fucking sad concern and sometimes it hurts to watch. because i GET IT. and i also get the feelings and confusion of all this. of being queer. that alone should get people impressed!
there's so much constant garbage thrown at us so i'm like ??? i love the IDEA of sexy dramas but i can't even look at gifs (pit babe lol) anymore* bc it's so fucking boring and cringey. but here some drama with a very young cast, the totally fucking opposite of what i like fr, comes and i'm actually invested. this is one of the few qls where /even as i skim/ i feel like this is right. i'm actively fucking sad about this and the show wants me to be! (but also to be ok! we'll get there) that's really good!

i am frustrated about this character but come on...can you blame him???? also...a lot of gymnasts do look like him! imo all the issues you have are with the show itself and not really him idk. anyways!
