How is the Indonesian subs? Is it better translated compared to the English version? I can understand Indonesian so I might try to watch on WeTV using VPN Indonesia

The production value of this drama is so high, in my opinion. I am loving it.

She looks very different from when she was in Yangxi Palace drama. She looks much older compared than Xu Kai in this drama. You are right to say that the make-up artists didn't do a good job in making her look better. :((

Here I am in Feb. 2022 starting this drama. I only got interested because I saw bits and clips on TikTok and I got curious enough to try to watch the whole drama. I hope it is good.

I started watching this drama some time in 2020, put it on hold, and restart in 2021 but still cannot get into the drama so I put it on hold again. Now in February 2022, I restart watching and pushed through the 1st 10 episodes (which I found to be uninteresting because I cannot stand the FL). However, after 11th episodes, I found the drama to be really interesting & entertaining. I really liked the ML and his cunning and tricks to get out of every troublesome situations. The side characters also added to the fun of the drama. Now I am on 23rd episode and I am hooked.

Thank you for a well written article. I agree that some of the Kdramas mentioned needed a Season 2. My best pick for Season 2 will be Korean Odyssey (will the Monkey King find his lost love's soul in hell?), Hotel del Luna (the epilogue of the new owner is the bomb!), Crash Landing on You (I want to see their babies!), Signal (the mystery continue), and What happened to Secretary Kim (I want to see their married life...LOL). I have watched up to 3-4 episodes, and I agree with you that this Jeremy Tsui is mesmerising to watch, especially his deep voice and calm demeanour. This is my first time watching him, and I am already drawn to him in the first episode...LOL. I also like the FL - she is smart, sharp and proactive. I hope the writers don't mess up this FL later on.
I am looking for a good drama to watch, and so far I am loving this one; plus the OSTs are really nice. Keeping my fingers cross to make sure that the drama will stay good until the end... :))

I checked WeTV and they don't have English subtitles. And I noticed that every episode is really short - only 6 minutes! Hmm... many I will watch when there are English subtitles and all the episodes are done. Can do a marathon viewing.

I am not sure if Squid Game Season 2 will be as good as the Season 1, especially when there was so much hype for the 1st season and expectations will be super high for Season 2. Based on past historical film experiences, usually sequels can be disappointments. But let's see...
As for me, I will not have high expectations because majority of the interesting characters are dead and I don't expect the anti-hero/ML (Lee Jung Jae) to dismantle the Games since it has been going on for decades and may involved many dubious, sick & perverted but wealthy, prominent & powerful people. It is unrealistic to expect that. Anyways, let's see what new surprises the SG writer & director Hwang Dong Hyuk will bring in Season 2.

What a strange, funny yet heartwarming and educational movie. This shows how people with many mental problems coped with the harsh reality around them, and yet managed to survive despite all overwhelming odds.

Maybe he didn't care because he wanted to die in the first place. If I were him, I would do the same .... LOL... anyway, it was a wonderful movie. :))

I am re-watching this drama again in January 2022, and I saw more details of the story about Ken and his adventures during the Warring States. I really love this drama and I wish they make Season 3. So many questions left unanswered... or perhaps that is how the writers and producers want this story to be?? LOL....

Ohh! OMG... you are the 1st that responded to my review... I was told and scolded that I should have waited for more episodes before I commented... But Please, just go ahead and watch the Thai drama version, and then compare them against the original Chinese version...
