I also didn't expect Squid Game to be globally famous. Maybe many people have never watched a good Korean drama like this, and they were shocked that it was really good. Since I have watched so many Kdramas in the last few years, I find Squid Game to be good but not as great as others (probably 1st time Kdrama watchers) thought.

Where can I watch this with english subs?

In the beginning, this drama was good, and there are so many crazy jealous people trying to destroy the FL. On top of this, her young son is running around in public, usually unsupervised or with incompetent nanny. The ML is also blowing hot and cold with the FL, I just cannot bear it. However, the FL is clever, street-smart, tough, bad-ass and sassy - I like that, but who is her stylist? She looks better with less make-up and that awful red lipstick... Hahaha. I had a difficult time to finish this drama, and I stayed because I want to see how the FL triumph over all her enemies. By episode 18 onwards, I had to watch at 2x speed... LOL...So, I am glad this drama only has 24 episodes.

I actually like the ML, and although he is not handsome (or beautiful), I find him to be really ruggedly handsome, attractive and charismatic. He oozes sexiness and charm. In the beginning, I didn't like him because of his braided hair (LOL), but in the end, I was routing for him.
Plus he is a great actor, and I always laughed at his awkward scenes with the ML. I wish the C-dramaland put more actors like him because most beautifully-handsome actors can't act well. They depends on their looks too much, IMO

I love the ML's secretary. He is so handsome, elegant and charming. I am glad he remains single throughout the drama....hahaha

I finally finished this drama during the weekend (Sat & Sunday), by watching it at 1.5x-2.0x speed - mainly for the political drama and other stuffs-scenes. But I used the normal speed for the main 1st & 2nd couples. I really loved the fact that this drama has high quality production, in terms of the costumes & sets, lots of extras to show crowded army-palace-city-etc., artistic & aesthetic presentation of many scenes (e.g. I was awed by the dance shown to the emperor's father, super unique); plus I really liked that the emperor & empress were very understanding, kind and considerate (compared to so many historical C-dramas where everyone is like a viper). The chemistry was great between the main couples, and their bickering & interactions kept me glued to the drama.
I know that many viewers complaint that the drama went downhill after episode 16 or 17, but in my opinion, the whole series of incidents made the flowing scenes to be FINE. So many NICE things happened BEFORE episode 15/16 and suddenly, bad stuffs happens. I think these stuffs do happen in real life.
So many days/weeks/months with wonderful life is great, BUT SUDDENLY, bad things happen!! Anyway, this is my own personal opinion. I don't want any hate from everyone!!

True! I love your rants. I want to rant too. The ML should have stopped meeting up with the SFL as soon as he sees someone exposing the FL diary entries at a public promotion event. He surely knows that it is the SFL doing; who else is vicious enough to do that?. And once their contract marriage is exposed, he should have sued the SFL for slander and character assassination.

One of the best and craziest dramas I have ever watched.

I am the same & at some point, I'd be doing some random tasks while watching this drama. LOL... Another pet peeve I have is that the main characters are always speaking loudly or shouting away when they are in public or while in Mina's bedroom. Is it just me or do I find it weird that nobody is eavesdropping on their conversation? LOL...

I stayed mainly for the main male lead, Wang Zi Qi. I really liked him since Imperial Coroner. I know how this drama will go, since it has so many typical cliches and tropes. But I find it entertaining because the main couple's chemistry is good and they are sweet & cute to each other. There are no long dragged out misunderstandings, and they worked together to resolve whatever problems they go through. Maybe that's why I like this drama. I don't get a lot of frustrated moments. I just can't get over the Milan scenes because I've been to Milan and I just laugh out loud during that part. :))

Same for me too... poor guy is slated to be pitiful SML for the rest of his drama life... LOL

I have watched Love 020, and it took me sometime to finish the drama. To be honest, Love 020 was one of my 1st C-drama I watched in a very long time. Anyway, I grew to like the drama over time, and I tend to re-watch certain scenes only. However, I didn't watch You Are My Glory because I am not a fan of Dilraba. Anyway, in terms of genre, I like the E-gaming story line. You are right to say that Yang Yang is really handsome; in fact, the first time I saw Love 020 on Netflix, I thought it was a K-drama because I thought Yang Yang is a Korean flower-boy....hahaha...

I agree with you. I was rather annoyed that the kid just turns up randomly, usually alone, to see the ML, and when he got kidnapped by the senior Gu, he was playing alone, unsupervised by his nanny. Anyways, this drama has a lot of loopholes, and I just shake my head many times - so much so that I am getting whiplash...hahaha...

I agree with you on the second couple. It is like they were forced together for the sake of the storyline. Plus I don't get how a strong, intelligent and independent Boss lady would fall for a seriously dumb jerk playboy CEO - he's not even charming.... hahaha

I was also thinking the same. If the SML is going to go for book signing as the comic author, the least he could do is dress in casual clothes and wear full mask. He went in his work suit and wear a crappy half-face mask. It is so dumb that the FL didn't recognise him.... hahaha

When will Season 2 Vagabond come out? Season 1 ended with a cliff hanger.

I just read Twitter and the malicious post has been deleted by whatever company that put it up in the first place. What is wrong with some people? They are damn envious - they cannot stand to see a nice man succeed in this tough entertainment industry. They are pure evilly jealous and want to pull down everyone around them.... gggggrrrrr. I really hope Salt sue the company or person that put up that malicious rumour !!
