I have watched up to episode 9, and I am struggling to finish this drama. In the beginning, it was funny and cute to watch the main couple, but the FL indecisiveness and the bratty spoilt kid (Nan Nan) were getting more annoying every episode. The ML is sweet and kind and really attentive to the FL and boy - and I am staying on just to see him if he is the boy's father.
EDIT: I have watched up to episode 11, and a new character is introduced as the potential father for Nan Nan. The guy seemed legit biological dad for Nan Nan - he seemed too perfect to be true; something is off. I felt kinda sad for the ML becos he earnestly wanted to win over Nan Nan and the FL. The rejections he felt really touched my heart and I want him to win overall.

It is probably her script because she was good in her previous drama with the same ML (legend of Yun Xi, where I first saw her). I admit she is really annoying in this Ruyi Pavillion drama, and I eventually dropped it.

It is a nice fantasy movie but I wish the editing could have been better. All the actors/actresses acted well, and the island of the sea demon god was nice, windy and pretty. Loved the beaches scenes. The story and plots were interesting, and the onscreen chemistry between the main lead couple was great. Somehow I wonder if this was low budget production. But at least they put effort in CGI of the fish. I really liked the look of the enormous legendary flying fish. He looks so majestic... LOL

I finished watching the remake of Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru (2019) and I really liked it. Then I found out there was an older version of this J-drama released in 2006. So here I am. I hope I will like this one too.

I am glad that you shared the background story about this sweet couple. I loved this J-drama and the way the couple's love was portrayed. I can feel the pain the FL is having, the prejudices and bullying she faced, because I am also somewhat like her (chubby now, even fatter in my school days). I don't get it why people call her ugly because she is beautiful inside and outside. She has a sweet and pretty face, it's only her body that's chubby. I am glad the ML fell in love with her for her personality, not her looks.

I am so glad this drama has 11 episodes. I hope the 11th episode will have a happy ending

OMG.... I thought the writer of this article was going to say that it is not worth it to watch this new upcoming drama..... LOL.... and found out that it is the title of the drama. I just hope that the title is not predicting what will happen to this drama in the end.

I wish there is a Season 2. This drama is so good and I was never bored at all. I actually had to rewind several scenes because I had to understand the story, especially the investigation parts. I really loved it when they do visual illustrations to explain forensic facts. I also love the part where Prince An gave to Chu Chu a bunch of flowers mainly fed to pigs and she was upset... LOL... This drama is so much fun to watch and easy to understand.

I guess this makes sense after I finished the series. Because if he is the real Duke Chang, I am sure Prince An will not want to kill a royal member of the Emperor, since Prince An is such a meticulous and thorough investigator. I really love this drama and I will miss Chu Chu and Prince An... :(

Just finished this drama and I loved it. I did not expect much when I started but it has great storyline, intense actions, interesting plots and clever dialogues, re-caps of previous episodes in the beginning of new episodes, strong friendships and bromances, subtle yet sweet romances, no boring fillers or stupid misunderstandings, no jealous bitches but supportive female leads, etc.. Kudos to great direction, writing, casts and production. I was never bored at all watching and I even binged watched this in 2 days!! This is one of my favorite C-dramas now.
For the 1st time, I wished they have more episodes because the ending was rushed. Maybe Season 2 perhaps. I want more of their investigative adventures.

I came here after watching The Imperial Coroner. Few viewers recommended me to watch Young Blood for Su Xiao Tong; I really liked her in The Imperial Coroner, and I hope she is also good in this one.

Oh! Now she has a new profile picture. Anyways, I loved her in The Imperial Coroner, and I don't think her character is one-dimensional. Her character was written that way, and so far, I find her refreshing, warm and cute. I will look for her other works from now on.

I did watch the Long Ballad but I really cannot take Dilraba because she is still not a good actress to be the lead actress for such a serious drama. That role would fit someone with better acting experience or charisma, for example, Bai Lu or Sandra Ma or Zhao Li Ying. That is why I dropped Long Ballad, along with other Cdramas with Dilraba in it. There are more better actress out there. Kindly note this is just my opinion, so no haters please..... LOL....

I agree with every casting person except Dilraba. She is not that good of an actress nor has the charisma or energetic aura to be able to portray Hermoine. I would know because I have watched Harry Potter Series many times, and I love Hermoine. I would prefer a better female actor to give her the best version.... So, please Choose someone else much better than Dilraba, for example Seven Tan, or Zhao LuSi. They are much better.

Thanks for the clarification. Somehow, I feel that she looks older than him. But they did have great onscreen chemistry in Yanxi Palace.

Finally, is this their next life after Yanxi Palace? She did promise him that she will be with him in their next life... LOL...
