Where did you watch episodes 19 and 20?

I love the ML's affection, protectiveness and cute jealousy towards his wife. But I wonder when did he have the time to buy her a new house in the new city, Lin'An?

I did the same thing. While waiting for the new episodes, I would re-watch the episodes more than 3 - 4 x, usually the scenes of the main couple, where they are so cute and sweet together. I have watched up to 14 episodes now, and I hope the drama stays fresh and interesting until the end.

I wonder if I should watch this C-drama. I am here looking for something fun and sweet and interesting because I am still suffering from heartbreak and withdrawal symptoms because of Mr. Queen, K-drama. I need a new fix drama to make me happy again.....hahaha...LOL...
Plus, I like Sean Xiao Zhan from the Untamed.

With all the deleted scenes coming out now, plus the Spin-off episodes, I think they should do a Director's Cut version of this drama and include ALL the deleted scenes and spin-offs into proper parts of the drama to make a better version. I wonder if that is possible.... LOL

I think the more I look at the ML, the more attractive and adorable I find him to be. I find him so charming when he smiles and struts around. Whenever he wins a round against the villain, he seems to have a twinkle in his eyes...LOL.
I am also watching another C-drama - A Girl Like Me - and even though the ML is so handsome and cool but yet I find him to be boring in his acting. He seems to be stiff and aura-less. Instead, the FL seems to outshine him every time they are onscreen. This is what I mean that an actor doesn't have to be handsome and cool to carry a drama.

I agree with your review. I watched the final episode raw, and it broke my heart in the end to see the King lost his "unique" Queen he had come to love. Even until today, I did not watch the final episode with subs. Every time I see the King in any YouTube MV, I would tear up. That is how vested I was in this K-drama, and I felt the writers messed up the ending for the King.
In the end, I truly really felt sorry for him because he was used by everyone, mentally abused by the corrupted nobles, lied to by the people he trusted and loved; and he ended with another Queen that he barely recognized. I know Queen So Yong loved him in her own way, but I know he missed Bong Hwan's soul because when the King touched the Queen's Dictionary, he said he missed something. With Bong Hwan, he could have casual and interesting conversations, and he can be himself. In the ending of the drama, the King even mentioned that the Queen has changed and spoke to him formally only..
Anyway, I just wanted to vent out my frustration about how this show ended. Never again will I invest too much time and energy in another drama.... LOL,,

I don't agree that this drama needs low rating. I think it deserves high rating because the storyline and the acting are great. The FL is not annoying , bitchy or whiny, and the ML is cute, funny and smart. As a couple, they are mature, respectful and support each other. I find the show to be fresh and interesting. There's always twists and turns in every episode that kept me interested, I even binged watched all 10 episodes in one day! Now that is rare for me in any drama. (except Mr. Queen, K-drama).. LOL

I agree with you. I love the way the FL slowly starts to fall for the ML, and I like how upset she gets whenever he mentioned the family seal because that's when he will divorce her. I think the best part was when he turned up for Poem gathering and gave a fireworks worthy show to save her face. The way she brightly smiled at him, and then the cute way she kissed him in the end.. And then in Ep. 8 where he reciprocated her kiss --- that was super cute! I am slowing loving this adorable couple.

I've just came to this C-drama to recover my heartbreak from Mr. Queen K-drama, and I managed to binge watch until 10 episodes. I find this drama to be quite funny, cute and addictive. The ML is not the typical tall, handsome/beautiful or cool male lead, but he is sweet, cute and adorable, plus he is smart, sharp and resourceful. I just love the story about him being a matrilocal (I have never heard of this term before) and he is really supportive and helpful to his wealthy wife (FL). The acting of the main leads are so good, and I like how the FL does not mistreat or humiliate the ML, just because he is a matrilocal. I hope the rest of this drama stays interesting and funny. Looking forward to further new episodes.

I just watched the trailer and I find the red threads pulling the cute couple together towards each other to be so cute and lovely. Since I like Seven Tan in "Under the Power" C-drama, I am looking forward to see her in another historical drama. I didn't realise that Wallace Chung is much older than her, but yet he looks so young for his age. I am excited for this new drama.

I agree with you. The whole 19.5 episodes were fantastic - funny as hell, and very enjoyable, so emotional, intense, etc. Because of all these, the expectations were high for the finale. I knew that SH will have to return to the future, but I did not expect him to return so abruptly like that. I was thinking that he will return in the end after he says good bye to the King. The writers could have make him return while the Queen was fighting for her life or something. Anyways, I try not to get too upset. It was afterall, a wonderful and enjoyable drama. I was going to give 10/10 but because of the ending, I ended up giving 9.0. :))
