I am a fan and anti-fan of the Queen's cousin. I know many hates him and even annoyed by his extreme actions, but please understand him. He loves the Queen for many years and he only wanted her to be happy; he did not want to see her sad and mistreated by the King and his royal concubine. Perhaps later in the story, he will find out that his adopted father is evil and corrupted and perhaps he will side with the King in the end. He will do all these for his love of the Queen. Please don't hate him, just understand him. Peace....LOL
OMG :)) I was slapping my self every episode to push through it... Every drama the main actress chooses to accept…
I think your mention of Latin-telenovelas made me laugh, because they are similar to Thai Lakorns. Same over-the-top plotlines, tragedies, backstabbing, betrayals, greed and corruptions. I think this kdrama Secret is similar to the Thai Lakorn "Waves of Life" starring Mark Prin and Bella. I went through a lot of emotions watching the Thai version, so I was not willing to watch this Kdrama drama "Secret". Sigh... But I really like Ji Sung, so perhaps, I will slowly start watching Secret, just for his sake.... Hahahaha...
I agree that the Cousin is acting like lunatic but you should understand that he is being overprotective of the Queen (he loved her for years; remember his confession to the original Queen?), especially when he saw that the King didn't love her (the King picked up the concubine instead of the Queen in beginning of episode 6, when both women fainted), and the Queen was unhappy and wanted to kill herself before the wedding. I don't find the Cousin annoying or irritating at all because he adds the tension and spice to the drama plus he is so passionate and hot-looking. People, let us all sit back and enjoy the drama.
I just read that there are people offended by this drama in s.korea... I just hope the international community…
Seriously, the Korean audience should try to chill out, and just enjoy the drama as it is. It is fiction and it is for entertainment. If Hollywood always cares about how people complained about distorting history, then no movies or dramas will be made. Sigh. I am really liking this drama and I hope that they will continue despite the complaints from the Koreans. I hope it is not many complaints though
I was reluctant to watch this drama because I finished "My husband in law" many months ago and I cannot go through another Mark Prin-bully acting against his FL, before he falls in love with her. However, there was so much promotion of "My Forever Sunshine" (via Facebook and Instagram), and the main couple looked so cute, sweet and lovey-dovey. So, in the end, I was curious enough to start watching the 1st episode this weekend (12/12/2020). I was actually charmed by Mark and Kao. Somehow, in this drama, Mark was quite a sweet young college man and Kao was the spoilt misunderstood brat. The first 2 episodes set up the drama well, and I eventually got to like it. The chemistry between Mark and Kao was good, even though it is not fireworks like him with Yaya or Mew. To me, I feel that their onscreen chemistry is natural and sweet, that is, until the accident part and hateful 4 years. I have not finished the drama, since I have a few otherThai Lakorns I have to finish...LOL.
They should have picked other good actors who are willing to do kissing scenes. And this is Bai Lu !! She does…
That's is what I meant. I read that he is married and he is a gentleman. I have no problem with him not wanting to do any kissing scenes. I am just saying that the producers could have casted other actors just as good as him to act in this drama. On the other hand, kisses don't have to be only on the lips. If the kisses were done on the forehead or cheeks or the hands, that's good too and also really romantic. Maybe Ren Jia Lun can do these. I am just saying.....
OMG just read that the actor has the "no kissing contract" thing. So disappointing that they choose Allen Ren…
They should have picked other good actors who are willing to do kissing scenes. And this is Bai Lu !! She does romantic scenes really well. Have you guys seen "Love is Sweet"? Maybe they should have cast Leo Luo for this drama...LOL
Can anyone suggest me which drama should I watch first Hotel trainees or Perfect and casual?I am very confused…
I think you should watch Perfect and Casual. The drama is well-directed, well-written and well-acted. If you can pass through Episodes 1-3, then the rest of the drama is sweet and cute. The main lead's onscreen chemistry is really good. I have watched Eden Zhao in the rom-com "What if You're My Boss" and I was not impressed (maybe I am in the minority).
I watched the drama after I read your post, and now I am so perfectly in love with this casual drama. At first I was really annoyed with the FL because she is so naïve to the point of being stupid. But I loved how the ML would always protect and takes care of her, and would even scold her for her naivety. Eventually, she grows and matures throughout the drama. And I really loved the character development of the ML, from cold and unemotional to sweet and loving. Overall, I feel the drama was well-written, well directed and well acted. Thank you so much for recommending this drama.

I watched Departures many years ago on rented DVD (that's before streaming online was the norm), and I had to watch it because I rented it (LOL). I still remembered part of the movie, and I was very touched about the story. It was unique, heart-warming and beautiful film.
This is one of the sweetest, cutest and natural love rom-com dramas I have ever watched. This drama I can include in the same class as "Love is Sweet" drama. The ML is so sweet and loving towards the clumsy and naïve FL. And the amount of loving glances and real kisses between the main leads in this drama has again set new bar in C-drama. LOL......
OMG!! your article really hits the mark for me. I also started watching K-drama 2 years ago and now I have really changed, maybe for the better. I even moved to South Korea now - I got a job! I feel like I am living my dream just wandering around and kept saying to myself, Wahhhh.... just like in the Korean drama... over and over again.... hahahaha
I am really liking this drama and I hope that they will continue despite the complaints from the Koreans. I hope it is not many complaints though
