Depends on how you see it. For some it's bromance, for me it's romance. There is no kiss and close to no skinship, but the way the characters look at each other and care for each other.... no one will make me believe this is simple friendship
For anyone who watches this and speaks Korean: since this is a period drama, is the Korean a little different…
I don't exactly speak Korean (I wish XD) but as I often watch historical dramas I can tell you that usually they indeed use an old form of Korean and not the modern one. That's why it's a bit different :)
can please someone explain me why tang yi is arrested? is it because he accidentally shot shao fei?? And what’s…
To answer all your questions, here is what I understood :
- Tang Yi is probably arrested for attempted murder against a police officer . Because he tried to kill the bad cop and even ended up hurting another one (Shao Fei). If it's not attempted murder, then it's at least assault (especially since he beat the bad cop so hard) I think.
- Dr Jien is dating little uncle and is friend with Andy. Little uncle is working in Mali and Andy just got news that he is close to a coworker so he told Dr Jien. That's about it.
- Hong Ye colluded with Zhi De to make it so that Shao Fei would stop sticking to Tang Yi. I think Hong Ye only wanted an attack to happen so that Tang Yi would "fire" Shao Fei for not being able to defend her. But Zhi De probably wanted to really hurt Shao Fei. Anyways in the end it happened differently :)
I hope I could help you understand a bit better :)
This is my first Deng Lun drama... It's only ep4 but I already have 29 screenshots of him. Send help
Lmaooo XD I can't send you help, I have too much of a crush on him too, but I want to send you to Ashes of love, Deng Lun with long hair is something not to be missed !
Since you are paying for Viki, I recommend using a (free) VPN to have access to more content. That's what I do because lot of stuff isn't available in Europe and it's annoying. VPN doesn't work on Netflix though sadly...
Thank you for checking out Part one as well! Glad you enjoyed it! Indeed. I've actually been using the "age gap"…
Oh yeah weak female lead is a tag I avoid too ! I think I've seen it often but maybe it wasn't for kdramas but more cdramas and lakorns... It' quite interesting to see how sometimes we feel like some tropes appear all the time but the tags don't necessarily appear on MDL... I guess it had a lot to do with how many viewers there are and their feelings about the drama...
Ahah this post actually makes me want to go and review the tags of all the dramas I've watched to add the ones missing and/or remove one that isn't accurate XD I honestly like tags that are more specific because they help me choose dramas. As I watch lots of lakorns, I know that I always avoid the ones tagged "slap-kiss"... The "age gap" tag is too broad imo since as you said it can refer to the actors age or the characters age, and not always the mains, not always in a relationship ... too many things to take into consideration ^^" Your article is really so interesting to read, I loved it ! Thank you for your hard work !
This article was sooooo interesting to read ! I really commend you for researching so much about each tag and bringing such an analysis to us ! I especially enjoyed reading the part about cohabitation and childhood acquaintance (this cliche needs to disappear seriously). It's obvious to me that male leads have usually way more power than the females. We just have to see how often romances portray rich male/poor female (btw reading your datas and analysis on that would be really interesting). I think the female in Mistyhad more power and I'm pretty sure that if I search I will find more, but definitely not that much. I haven't read your part one but I'm going to right now :D
If you like James, I suggest watching Nueng Dao Fah Diew. It's an amazing historical drama with him in it.
Ikr ! That drama was so good ! I must admit I felt a bit uncomfortable watching James as a eunuch and flirting with the main girl (even though it was only a disguise) XD . And the part where he was a monk (aka without hair and eyebrows) burnt my eyes for a long time XD
Yess! Definitely my kinda article. Even I watch lakorn as escape from too much K-dramas. I dnt knw why, though…
Ikr! I feel exactly the same. Lakorns kinda always have the same type of plot with the same annoying characters and makjang tendencies but somehow I enjoy them so much, and sometimes even more than kdramas that can have really heavy and serious storylines
Ahah finally created an account just to comment here ???? I relate so much to this post omg. I don't think I'm getting out of the lakorn hole anytime soon. I know I'm on a James rehab but... what did you think of Neung Nai Seung ?
